Hi Rufus, I agree a ‘winning home match’ would’ve been satisfying, especially at home, with the fans, but a win’s a win. As in Saints beating Palace yesterday 3-1, not quite the same calibrer of course!
We’ve got rain coming in later, but I’m up the allotment in a minute, cue black clouds...
Where I live our departing words to each other are just ‘see you later’ quite boring really.

Even Brisbane had golf size hail today
I was on the phone to Brisbane DD yesterday and told her we were having a hailstorm - she was worried that my car might get damaged but our hailstones are like tiny gravel, not huge boulders like theirs.
(I hope her car is ok)

Have you had your jab yet Rufus?

Well my friend and I nearly made it to the end of lunch before the downpour drove us away. We only got slightly splashed. Had a quesedilla. Never had one before. Was delicious ?

Yes Goodonya City, although I'd have been happier if they'd finished it off with a win rather than by default. even though we must give thanks to Leicester City. smile
I understand Liverpool are a bit "dirty " on United as that result makes their "Top 4" hopes a bit dented.
I suppose the City team get to ride around Town in a double-decker bus and collect the keys to the City, again!

Bx Being past 70 holds no fears these days with it being the new 40. Being past 90 is now the new 60 (I wish!)
When we lived in Manchester, the local equivalent was "Ta-Ra"; don't know if an age limit applies there! hmm

Covid case still causing media panic, but no new cases fortunately. I'm still amazed at how much mingling that Indian fellow in such a short time.

Our Federal Budget is going in for big spending on infrastructure in order to create more jobs. One interesting feature is a promise to elderly house-owners several thousand dollars to downsize. obviously there will be lots of small print, but I've yet to catch up!

We're promised yet another Wintry spell this week-end!
International flights will not resume this year so no chance to return and enjoy your Summer. sad
