How to stop this guy from parking across our drive

I’m just glad to see the OP is obviously feeling better. In her last post , she’d had a stomach bug which was causing her much anxiety. That..and the fact she’s only 28 I think, may have contributed to her being unable to deal with this.

I agree with others that you must just knock on his door and ask politely if he would move his car as you need to get out. Maybe the people who lived there before you didnt have a car and he hasnt realised. I cant believe he would deliberately block you in.

I have this problem constantly. I live near the shops and since there is a parking fee we often have shoppers parking in our cul-de-sac. My notes are none too polite as they are breaking the law. I always take a photo of them as one idiot threatened me with the police. Leave a note and take photos. Don't be soft with this person as they are taking advantage. Assertiveness works every time.

You could leave a polite note on his car. If that fails, you will just have to knock on the door and ask him nicely not to leave his car there as you need to keep your entrance free.

Yessss! This is resolved -at least for now.

I would drop a note through his door asking politely if he could park somewhere else as you can't get out your drive.if he fails to do this .do you have a community police person? or you could get a parking warden to come issue a ticket.

Either park across your own driveway. And Or get two friends to park either side and block him so he can’t move...... just desserts.

I have a different but related problem. A neighbour often parks across my drive - and I really don't mind as I don't have a car. He will always move it if I have visitors with cars.

My problem is my next door neighbour, complaining about me 'letting' him do it, saying she can't see to get out. (I think she can see perfectly well, just wants to back out by turning across my drive.)

The first time she moaned, I asked him to move it. The second time, I told her to just go and speak to him herself. She seemed upset by my attitude.

I don’t understand how his size has anything to do with the problem, just knock on the door and politely ask him to move his car as he’s blocking you in,

have you never felt intimidated by anyone; of course size is relevant.

The big muscly neighbour, he's so large !! has told me it isn't sorted and he intends to park in front of the drive tomorrow
