Do you still have a daily newspaper?

I like a "real" paper but only have one if it can be delivered with groceries.
I don't go out to buy anything anymore!

Yes I love having the newspapers delivered and settling down to read them and do the crossword over breakfast. It starts my day of well.

Telegraph online and the Week and Spectator delivered on a Friday.

We have never had papers delivered, but we invariably buy 2 newspapers a day at least plus the local paper.

Online news is limited, partial and you do not get the opportunity to pick up all those odd reports, or columns that you do not intend to read but something in them catches your eye and when you have read it, you are very glad you did.

Haven’t had one delivered for some years now but we buy them when we go shopping several days a week and always on Saturday. They take about 5 minutes to read but I like the crosswords.

I get a free copy of The Times maybe once or twice a week when I spend the minimum requirement of a tenner in Waitrose. We always take The Sunday Times and spend the rest of the week reading it in its entirety. I'll get The Mail and The Guardian up on line most days, no pay wall as yet for both of those!

Used to but read them online now

I have the Daily Mail (shock) and The Times delivered every day.
They arrive at 5.30am!

I get a daily delivery but I don't read it every day. In spring and autumn its used to line the spare room to keep the carpet clean because the tortoises are in there either to run down before hibernation (autumn) or because its not warm enough in the garden overnight.....also a bit morbidly, it means that if the papers piled up in the box, the paperboy would notice and tell the shop owner (who I know well) would hopefully call someone!

I only buy a paper on Sunday, lots of reading material with the supplements, as well as the main newspaper.

We have a daily delivery. But we only started to have it delivered since lockdown. Before that Mr Cheese went to buy one every morning.

We had a daily paper delivered until DH and the newsagent had a disagreement (newsagent lost the vouchers and then claimed he had never been given them) and there is nowhere else that delivers. We used to collect one daily until March 2020, when we switched to online. Still collect one occasionally, but mostly rely on the online version now.

We have an inewspaper delivered daily and an Observer on Sunday. I also get a free Guardian from Waitrose when shopping there. I love reading a paper or doing a crossword over breakfast. In fact one thing I missed when having my knee operation recently was the lack of newspapers as they can’t provide them at the moment because of covid.

I still like the daily delivery which arrives @ 6.45am - could set my watch by it !
The body takes a while to wake up these days so a pot of tea reading international as well as national news plus completing the cryptic crossword and I'm ready to start the day.
Soooo old fashioned but I care not.

We stopped buying an actual paper about 18 months ago. Now we read them online apart from the weekend when DH does go and buy one from either the shop on the corner or our local shops a few minutes away.

My parents always had a newspaper delivered, and when I got married in 1981, we “signed up” with the local newsagent. It seemed like a rite of passage, we were grown up!
We are lucky, as this newsagent still delivers, though of course, not many do now.
However, he has closed the shop for the last few days, presumably for a traditional period of mourning as his mother has died.
We have really missed that morning paper! Today I went to two local shops to get one, and I wonder how many people would actually bother. Why not just read it online? It’s just not the same though.
Anyone agree?
