My parents always had a newspaper delivered, and when I got married in 1981, we “signed up” with the local newsagent. It seemed like a rite of passage, we were grown up!
We are lucky, as this newsagent still delivers, though of course, not many do now.
However, he has closed the shop for the last few days, presumably for a traditional period of mourning as his mother has died.
We have really missed that morning paper! Today I went to two local shops to get one, and I wonder how many people would actually bother. Why not just read it online? It’s just not the same though.
Anyone agree?
