Jaxjacky That's careless of you! Di you trip over the pan!
As much as I'd like to stay and comfort you, it's nearly 2.00am Sat'Day here and NightOwl that I am, a warm bed beckons.
Get someone to kiss it better!
Cheers
Aveline You don't half lay it on dontcha!
Keep up with those lovely lunches and you'll be too unfit to clamber up on the operating table when the time comes! Not a pretty sight, I'll warrant!
No sign of GGS yet. If he's inherited my brains he'll stay where he is for a while longer; weather's miserable!
Anyway, I'm told it's the prerogative of the first to appear late.
Minimoon Whichever way you spell it, yes, that's him!
Excellent series. Didn't need captions for this one, which reminds me that someone promised to send me an Anglo-Celtic dictionary.; could be useful for all the Scotch programmes we're getting these days!
Do you go in for in-cabin, driver's -eye view DVDs?
I've acquired quite a few including tonight's Jacobite trip and and well worth the money1
Cheers
Hi Rufus, cloudy but warm here, I’m hobbling a bit after stubbing my little toe at 6:30 this morning en route to the toilet, boy is it sore. MrJ is not helping by calling me hop along ?. So, as tonight is usually a meander to the local, I’ll drive and be restricted to the single wine, then a yummy pint of squash...?. The lack of footballing type entertainment means we’ve now noticed how tedious a lot of TV is, we’d like to see the Jacobite programme. Our original plans for 2020 were train travel up to and around Scotland.
A week ago it was wet and chilly, now I’m thinking when I need to water the garden!
Take care ?
we've all got one of those MiniMoon!
Bill Nighy of course. Daft tablet!
Are those documentaries The Worlds most Scenic Railway Journeys Rufus? The ones with Bill Night doing the narration. My husband and I love them. My favourite has been New Zealand's South Island Dunedin railway's Inlander and Seasider, absolutely beautiful scenery.
Well at last the weather here has picked up a bit. It's somewhat warmer, and looks to be improving over the weekend.
Mr. MM is currently working out where to put all the plants he's bought, plus making a water feature.
We haven't had an out and about lunch yet, but husband had a 70th birthday tea in the yard behind the cafe in the centre of town which was enjoyed by those who attended in spite of the cool showery weather.
Stay well.
Just back from my latest lunch out. It was deeeeelishus. Salmon and asparagus with new potatoes dripping in butter followed by champagne jelly and Tonka bean ice cream. All washed down with a nice luscious but dry white wine. Nicest meal I've had for ages. Good company too which always helps.
Any sign of that new great grandchild yet?
Am off to sleep off my lovely lunch.
Day 1 of 7 accomplished successfully; only 4 more active cases o/night which prompts the thought, did the pollies over react.? The lockdown has caused all the usual problems with which you are all familiar.
Hopefully, there may be a chance of a sentence reduction if numbers stay low.
There’s an amusing side to any story and yesterday provided one; probably not for the participants
As a result of all borders being closed to Victorians by other States, the Ghan train was stopped on its way from Adelaide to Darwin in the middle of nowhere and 32 Victorian passengers were taken off. I expected the news report to say they were lined up and left behind, but they were placed in quarantine in Alice Springs.
I can think of worse places; no idea if they have to stay 14 days..

Our No.2 Son, April 3, is all of these , depending on the day of the week!
When he visits he still goes through my frig tossing out stuff past its use-by date, even if it looks and smells OK.. Then comes a lecture!
But I shouldn't be saying things like that because he does shop for my groceries. ,even the Shiraz!
Aveline No need to swoon over my inventory of safety aids. Some of it duplicates things in the house and others in the garden, With 6 steps down to the garden, both at front and rear, it saves having to lug a rollator up and down. by having one indoors and one out!
Also removes risk of falling down steps! and much cheaper than visit to hospital!
Tonight's doco was on “The most beautiful railways” ; this time a nostalgic trip on the steam “Jacobite” Lovely scenery including shots of Waverley station, which looked very nice in the sun’ We have the DVD cab ride version, but this programme also had interesting stories regarding the route!
We’re having ideal weather for a lock down, stay indoors week-end with even colder weather just ahead, so our turn to envy you with your out and about lunches.
Good Health
