Pfeizer and insomnia ?

Since having the pfeizer jab my daughter has had insomnia. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed a connection?

Mine was the Phizer-Biontech vaccine, so I don't know it that is the one you mean.

If anything I slept more heavily the night after each vaccination, but only for that night. I have not heard of anyone suffering from insomnia after having the vaccine.

Is your daughter unduly worried about side effects of the vaccine? Could that rather than the vaccine be the connection?

Hi, Cid 24, I have had really weird and vivid dreams disturbing my sleep since my second Pfizer jag last month.

Are you sure it isn't related to daylight hours? Loads of people seem to find it difficult to sleep at this time of year as it's so light for so long

Hi, Cid 24, I have had really weird and vivid dreams disturbing my sleep since my second Pfizer jag last month.

I didn't have Pfizer but I had AZ and my dreams have been weird too. Last night I dreamt I met my friend in a foodbank queue and she was soaking wet and didn't want to talk to me and then she ran off and I went after her and she had a huge polystyrene finger strapped to her forehead and was running at speed into a glass shop front window confused

GP on this morning said it was all coincidence.

I had the Pfizer one too. If anything I slept more deeply and longer. It was lovely.

I have had both my Pfizer jabs and can't say I've noticed any difference in my sleeping pattern.
I think it's just coincidental.

I've been insomniac all through lock downs and since- just can't seem to get back to a 'normal' sleep pattern, but i read on here (GN) that a lot of folk have struggled with this all along since march 2020, i haven't seen any difference at all since my pfizer jabs!

I had Pfizer jab.

Life goes on just as usual?

It's all psychosomatic.

No, on the contrary, I kept nodding off in the afternoon for a couple of weeks afterwards.
And slept at night too.

I’ve had both Pfizer jabs, noticed no difference.

I'm actually sleeping better since the pfizer jab. I put it down to less stress.

MrM had it too and continues to sleep like a log.

Yes grandtante We call it Pfizer and sur la continent it is biontec. .
I had AZ and my sleep is just as disturbed as it was before.

Funny about the dreams. I had the az vaccinations and after the first one I had an incredibly vivid dream. I assumed it was affecting my brain in some obscure way. Nothing after the second one. I have come across others who have said similar. You are lucky having the Pfizer shots, we couldn’t get that because of monumental government stuff ups.

CafeAuLait Sat 24-Jul-21 05:42:02

We've all had Pfizer. I've got a bit of insomnia at the moment, but that's probably coincidence. I can have that from time to time. I've heard about the dreams. That could be coincidence too. Hopefully it will resolve soon.

The vaccination is being blamed for so many things. Almost all psychosomatic.

Witzend Sat 24-Jul-21 08:47:13

I had the AZ and my sleep has not been affected at all. It’s still rubbish.

CafeAuLait Sat 24-Jul-21 08:57:57

Just because you didn't have a particular side effect, it does not make it rubbish. If sicknesses can affect our sleep it makes sense that a vaccine, that makes our bodies immune system do work, could potentially do similar.

By that reasoning, because I didn't get a fever or headache, it's rubbish that anyone did.

Well, a psychosomatic dream. I like that. I told my doc that I had felt faint the day after my first vac but I said I thought it might have been in my mind. He told me no, it is a common side effect. The dream one, who knows ? Certain foods can do that, too.

I have not noticed any difference since my Pfizer jabs.
