IT’S A BOY
Finn Jack Patrick

Born 11.50pm Sunday 30 May 2021 at Melbourne Australia
Weight 3.8828 Kg (I knew you’d ask 8lb9oz)

Everyone fine, including Dad and Greatgrandad!
You can see the input of his Irish mother, Lee, at his naming ceremony!
Hospital birth so no visitors allowed due to current lockdown and worsening pandemic.
Talk later!

Congratulations Great Grandad! Welcome to the world little Finn.
Celebrate Ozzy style? A few tinnys then chuck the prawns on the barbie or do you prefer snags?

Good Evening again! Thank you for your Good Wishes. I’ll pass them on as the family begins to re-establish contacts by whatever means is available.
They know of my involvement with GN and how much I enjoy being here; they also seem to get a kick out of hearing about my banishments, almost to the point of saying “you probably deserved it!” Oh well! hmm

Hope you’re enjoying your Bank Holiday of glorious weather! We’re also enjoying glorious sunshine but freezing cold, and tomorrow is only the first official day of Winter.
Not good for vaccine queueing. Experts are now saying that things will get worse before they get better; not exactly a morale booster but obviously aimed at the non-vaxxers!
They are slowly getting worse; confirmed +ve cases now over 50, and some appearing in supposedly safe aged care residential homes; now there is more talk of the lockdown being extended beyond Thursday
TV News tonight showed the PMs of OZ and NZ greeting each other with a “traditional” rubbing of noses! I ask you! Perhaps I might try that greeting if a Kiwi nurse turns up! grin
Seriously though, whilst I was reminiscing about things in general after the good news about “Jack”, my preferred name!, I couldn’t help wondering what sort of a world awaits him; Despite all the current doom and gloom we must surely look forward to happier and safer times. We may not be able to eradicate Covid for ever, but there must come a time when it’s been tamed.

Anyway, I think there’s a discussion going on elsewhere about Glasgie and seeing as how I’m now an expert having just watched Susan Calman’s “Secret Scotland”
about the place, I’ll see if I can join in!

Thank you once again;
Good Health wine wine wine and here’s to little Jack smile

Aveline Come on! We're more refined than that! hmm
Our cultural standards have improved out of sight by following your culinary activities. grin
You can forget all those old-fashioned tales you learned at your Mother's knee.(s)
I've been consulting Dr.Google for some suitable Irish
fodder; meanwhile a glass or two of Shiraz have been raised in celebration! grin

I was just trying to mirror your comments about cultural matters in Scotland!
