Anniebach I like your posts I think like you do. Im not going to gush about Diana she was just a person who had faults like everyone else but people always talk about her like she was family and get upset when you dont see her though rose tinted glasses. Has I have said before she has been gone for years but people still get upset if you dont see her as a Goddess.

I don't see her as a goddess. I see her as an ordinary person, at the time I thought she was a bit silly, in fact.

But as I've said before, I don't feel the need to bring up every minor detail of her life to use as a weapon against her, now that she's been dead for quarter of a century. I don't know the names of all her alleged lovers and what the dog on the moped was wearing.

Well, actually, I do now.

No, not ballet MollyGo. And always just an amateur. I can do a high kick though. And the splits You can do over 50s ballet, I've always quite fancied that.

I'm short and dumpy, but still not bad at dancing. If I lived in London I'd be joining this like a shot.

Wow Alegrias1 were you really a ballet dancer? You’re so lucky.
I always wanted to do ballet, but never managed more than tap dancing. My DH laughed when I appeared on stage in tap shoes and a bunny girl costume.

Despite the fact that I am tall, slender and stunningly beautiful, I've got no co-ordination and refused to join in a show with other adult tap dancers when we were having lessons.

My OH has better hair.

My husband loves to watch me dance on stage.

I'm not a princess though. Maybe I just have no decorum.

It was a special event, and on stage is the princess of Wales doing high kicks , surely most husbands would be embarrassed

Ok let’s all agree she wasn’t a prima ballerina.
I still say the john travolta thing was fun stylish elegant and he was thrilled.
Please note this does not mean I am declaring Diana was a sainted individual. She was, as we all are, flawed and a mixture of good and bad qualities.

I'm what's known as an "advanced community dancer". I'll never tread the boards at Sadlers Wells but I'm not bad.

I'll get up on a stage at the drop of a hat. Or used to before Covid. I'm no Margot Fonteyn but if I was dancing for an audience, especially one that had my OH in it, I'd expect people to give me respect for doing it and I'd not expect people to think I'm of a professional standard.

Cut the woman some slack, for goodness sake.

Entering the lists again: Diana was charismatic and beautiful but she was not graceful and she was not a dancer; nothing wrong with that until you choose to put on a public performance at Covent Garden with one of the leading ballet dancers of the day and expose your lack of ability, and also self-knowledge. Charles was a great supporter of the Royal Ballet, as were most of the Royal family then, which was one reason he was embarrassed.

No difference to the posts about Charles . A discussion on Diana dancing brought a jibe about Charles and Camilla.

I did not bring up affairs, I posted of affairs after the subject was brought up .

I have read that Charles was not amused, don’t know if that was true or not. Stealing the limelight from him maybe?

Did Prince Charles get annoyed with her for that dance even though she did it for him as a birthday present or something.
