Perhaps our minor Royals and our two young princesses (Eugene and Beatrice for example) could take a page or two out of this young princesses's book.

How about a compromise Brenda ?

We stick with a Royal Family, but only the direct line of succession, we don't expect all the other members of the family to do "Royal Duties" and they all have to follow the same fiscal rules and laws as the rest of us?

Deal?

It's ok, I'll let you have independence and you can choose your Head of State, whether it be the monarch or an elected president.
