I can assure you, I was renowned in teaching circles! ? My condition was caused by my RA and aggravated by my job. Had it for over twenty years, not as painful now, thank goodness. Good health to you too!

Dr.Google (again) q.v. tells me that your form of teno involves the thumb and the palm; even mentions a "Finkelstein" test, would you believe!? and is caused by repetitive use of the hand such as "carrying shopping bags" or "lifting children in and out of car seats!
Find that hard to believe! In that case half our members would be casualties!
More likely caused by constant use of modern equipment involving typing or such-like! Otherwise known as RSI.
Glad to say my forearm is much easier today, but I now operate taps and door handles very cautiously.

Evening Rufus, I hope they can do something short-term about the power supply but this sounds like a major re-think is needed ' wind turbines or other alternative sources perhaps?

I just had a look, Jaxjacky - very spooky.
Gippsland makes me think of yogurt, not spiders, Gippsland yogurt is lovely.

Netball and tennis here (if I can remember that far back).
Someone I know was a champion bowls player, Rufus, could have played for Australia if running a business hadn't got in the way.

HelloRufus, had a smile when you mentioned darts! Every night here at 11 ish there are rereuns of Bulls Eye on Challenge ( must be40 years old) it’s our last watch with our Horlicks!!

Aveline Just on my way to bed, but couldn't pass up an opportunity to outline my sporting career starting with Rugby, (Union, of course) , Soccer, Cricket, Darts, Snooker followed by marriage followed by darts, dominoes, Crib mainly against Father-in-Law and finally concluding with Lawn Bowls.
Unfortunately my trophy cabinet is not exactly what it was because my darts hand tends to drop things nowadays!
I don't know why!
That's just a brief outline.

Marydoll OK! Just in case I put my foot in it again I consulted Dr Google and what do you know!?
He identified "baltic" as being a Glasgow term (note the correct spelling!) for "frozen"!, but he didn't mention any particular adjectives preceding.
And I always thought the wall was built by Hadrian to keep out the Barbarians!
He'd have a fit if he knew people actually walked on it!
We live and learn!

My Latin teacher took us on a trip to Hadrian's wall in the early 70s. I loved the sense of history but agree with Marydoll. It was so cold and windy! I live very near to Antonines wall which isn't as well preserved.

Good evening all, I love Hadrian’s Wall country, it was one of our favourite places for walking. I was planning on doing the full coast to coast walk before fate stopped me in my tracks.

Rufus, in my student days, I walked parts of Hadrian's wall on a number of occasions. It was pretty baltic to say the least!!!

True enough - too much sport for people to sit about watching rather than actually playing! Rufus2 what was your sport? Cricket? Lacrosse?

Hi Rufus, mention of your weather I just saw this picture of the spider webs making a spectacular appearance in Gippsland, very spooky. We had some rain overnight, but no storms, boo, it’s still a bit clammy, more rain coming. Non sports people won’t be happy with TV this afternoon, football, tennis or Royal Ascot across three of the main channels, football in this house. The big game tomorrow evening, it’ll be a busy night for venues showing the game. Hope your ‘itis’ improves ?
