Good Evening from a cold 10C, wet Melbourne, but clouds have just parted to reveal a beautiful full moon!. “Somewhere there’s heaven; How high the moon” Apologies to Mel Torme! hmm
Back to Earth with a thud! Sydney recorded 22 new Covid cases yesterday, prompting the Govt to initiate 7- day lockdowns in five local Govt. areas.
Please don’t ask me about border controls and who can travel where and when!
TV News today showed families heading out of Tullamarine for Sunny climes up North; only a few pointing out that air fares, car-park rates etc have all suddenly increased by at least 50%, but I guess businesses have a lot of catching up to do!

TV railway doco this evening was mainly about Waverley Station. It’s in Edinburgh! smile
We were treated to views of a festival, Edinburgh Pride! Very colourful and very revealing at times. Obviously pre-Covid; not a mask in sight, although some of the G-Strings could have doubled up in an emergency!
The second part of the prog. found us in the Cairngorms. Very scenic!

Jaxjacky Thanks for the update! 5 pm your time is 2 am next day our time, but I won’t be sitting on my emergency pendant ever again!

rafichagran Should be a good match! Hope it’s on Telly. Shades of the 1966 Final!
Thanks for good wishes about Ian; haven’t tried to phone him today and no news yet

Aveline I see what you mean! “Nil desperandum”
Why does Jackie Weaver and the Handforth Parish Council come to mind when these spats cause tea cups to rattle!?
I once tried to join a Gransnet Zoom group, but given a hand-off! Probably just as well1 hmm

Surely you can have at least one visitor during your hospital stay!? How are you going to get some grapes (not gripes!), The nurses will be far too busy.
I imagine you’ll appreciate the peace and possibly the quiet apart from your 6.00am visit by the physio! shock

Good Health wine wine wine

Good evening Rufus2. Covid hotting up in Sydney areas. I did love Sydney when I was there and really hadn't expected to somehow.
The hospital takes covid very seriously indeed. I really am not allowed any visitors. I have to have a covid test three days before admission and have to self isolate at home after that. DH has to deliver me to the hospital in the back seat of the car sitting as far from him as possible. It's going to be a very odd 3 days. Hospital will be lonely. I've got a physio telephone appointment in Monday. Not sure why. Oh well. It's something to do.
Edinburgh festival is back on this year in a covid sort of way. It was actually lovely last summer to have the city to ourselves. The tourists absolutely overwhelm the city centre and old town and its best avoided all summer.
Stay safe and try not to sit on your personal alarm too often!

Evening Rufus The weather and rising covid cases sound depressing where you are.
I hope the documentaries make things a bit more cheerful for you.
Yes shades of 66. I was 9 and I watched that game from my Aunts house.
Hope you have better weather where you are soon, I have to say it's not too great where I am.
