Good Morning Saturday
(64 Posts)Good morning from a cloudy Morecambe Bay. I’m off to a felt workshop today which I’ve been looking forward to for ages.
I catch up tonight and hopefully read about Marydoll’s exploits!
Stay safe everyone and take care ?
Good morning from a grey and damp NE.
Yesterday was a better day, DH managed to eat something at every meal which was a great relief to me.
DD and SIL brought some shopping from Aldi, they bring the heavy things like bottled water. Yesterday's treat was Eton mess tarts which we had with our coffee, delicious.
This afternoon my sister will visit, this week she is bringing quiche and a mince pie, her village butcher does wonderful baked produce.
Weather forecast is poor so no garden today and certainly no watering of pots.
Put me down for a copy of your book Marydoll I loved Rebus.
Enjoy your weekends.
Good morning all from the Black country. Well its finally stopped raining the heating as been on for a short while.
grandMattie love that colour of Iris outfit.
Marydoll I enjoy a good Rebus novel I wait in anticipation ?
Meeting friends later meanwhile full English is calling Saturday treat.
Enjoy your day and may you all find some ?.
Good morning all from a very sunny North Leicestershire.
We are off shopping for a 40th birthday present for DD2. She is particularly difficult to buy for so wish us luck.
My brother is still very poorly - each day brings another problem. The doctors have, thankfully, clear the fluid from his lungs but can't identify the infection that keeps rearing it's head. He has been in hospital for 2 weeks now since his stroke and, because he is so ill, no rehab has started yet. He is 69 on Monday!
Good Morning everyone from Severnside. It’s damp and cloudy.
A pretty outfit you’ve made for Iris Mattie.
After running errands yesterday I saw my sister in law and had a lovely catch up.
Not sure what to do today but I will stay around the house as my friends may call.
Thinking of all with worries and hope everyone has a good day ?
Good morning from a sunny north Surrey.
Yesterday afternoon had a lovely few hours with DGDs. The 3 year old loves playing in the garden and was having a wonderful time with water and dirt whilst I sat with the baby making sure she didn’t eat the grass. Stayed for their tea, bath and bedtime and came home to roast dinner cooked by DH.
This morning will water the garden and walk the dog. Our local walk takes in a small country park. The swans have 5 sygnets, the parents are very protective so we have to put Freddie on the lead near them. Will be interesting to see how the open air swimmers manage as Saturday is their day to swim there.
Today DH’s family are scattering the ashes of his sister who died at Christmas. There will be a picnic after and lots of reminiscing.
Wish all a good Saturday
Good morning, everyone from a dull Torbay, much like the start of the last couple of days although they did brighten mid morning.
What a super outfit, grandMattie! I love the colour and admire your talent. After years of wearing blue for school uniform and for Girl Guides, it has taken me a few decades to feel good in blue again.
A meal at my favourite local, The Buccaneer is planned today with my bubble mate. The food is always freshly cooked and the staff take good care of us. The photo is lifted from their Facebook page. I remember watching a TV programme called “The Buccaneers “ as a child! Does anyone else remember it?
Enjoy your social times this weekend, everyone. ??☀️
Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s quite cool and wet. Yesterday was another cold rainy day but the forecast is looking good for next week
I hope you enjoy watching the cycling mick
The trousers and top look very cute GM I think Iris is lucky to have you making such pretty outfits for her and I hope she enjoys wearing them
Today DH and I are going out walking for the day, it’s a while since we’ve done a longish walk so I’m looking forward to a good stretch of the legs and to get my step count up on my Fitbit
Looking forward to hearing more about your trip away marydoll!
Hope everyone finds something to enjoy today and take care all whatever the day brings ?
Good morning all from a very wet Ediburgh. I have no idea what the temp is, but I tell you I'm sitting in bed with my cashmere poncho on! Brrrrr!
I am having serious Wifi tribulations. Mr Mr MDoll has messed up the Hotel Wifi code, (are you surprised?) and I can't access it. I'm trying to do this on my phone, but I'm struggling.
I shall post a few phtos from yesterday and with my IT hat on, try to resolve it later.
All I'm going to say is that I have enough material for a new Inspecor Rebus novel: Wifi murder in a hotel in Rose Street.
Back later, I hope!
Good Morning all from East Staffordshire where the sun has got his hat on.
We are off for a walk around Carsington Water and lunch at the pub in the village. We are meeting up with a few friends I haven’t seen since before the first lock down. (I am secretly hoping they have put on weight too so I don’t look like I have lost my ability to self care??)
So excited though as we have so much to talk about the men won’t be able to get a word in!!
DGS is coming for a sleepover tonight and DH and I are taking him to watch DH running in a race tomorrow. It will give DD a morning to just nap with DGD who is nearly 7 weeks old now which I can’t believe?
Good morning from an overcast south Cornwall. Today I anticipate an unplanned visit from my 5-year-old granddaughter who has patiently taken a back seat during my two hip replacements. I suspect there will be a phone call asking if she can 'come and make something please Nana,' while her little brother goes rockpooling with daddy. (Their mum works on Saturdays.) If not I'll take a bus to the sea front to grab some fresh air.
Whatever Saturday holds for everyone I hope the day goes as well as possible.
Good morning from a bright E Kent.
I have finished Iris’s trousers and made a matching crop top from the fabric left over.
The Open plans are surging ahead, huge pantechnicons go past all the time, everything is nearly done. Yesterday, holders for flags were being put onto the telegraph poles!
Nothing much on again today; just hope it’s a little warmer.
Hope our GraMmingos have a stress/pain-free day. ???☀️???
Good Morning Everyone,
Its cloudy but dry here in Brackley at the moment.
My plans for today are slightly different , will get the bus to Bicester direct ,and have 2 hours there , as I will be returning to try and watch the Tour De France first stage in full on Eurosport , although on ITV 4 as well , its the commentary team and presentation which differs .
Before that the women's la course over the same route as the men's stage, today only next year there will be a full blown women's race of the Tour De France , last held in the 80`s .
Take Care,
Mick
