Hi all, what is the best foundation for maturer skin that covers nicely. I am going away (not a hot country) so will be wearing make up a bit more and want to take advantage off being single haha. I have never had a clue really with make up and what to look a bit better also a good primer too. tia

Try Look Fabulous Forever, make up designed for mature ladies to buy online. Don’t wear foundation myself, just ‘beauty balm’ from M&S, but LFF do foundation and a lighter balm type product, also concealer. Their face and eye primers are good, I use them, also their eyeshadows. They also do mascara and skincare. It’s all cruelty-free and you can return anything not to your liking even if used. They also have lots of helpful make up tutorials on You Tube. No I don’t work for them or get commission but I do wear makeup every day and can vouch for their products.

Just thinking whilst dead heading the roses (why do I keep buying more?!) - do you really need foundation? I’ve always thought it’s rather ageing especially in bright sunlight. Unless you have for instance bad scarring or rosacea you want to disguise why not try a ‘beauty balm’ first? LFF do one but I think it gives more coverage than my M&S one which is more like tinted moisturiser. I’m 70 by the way, and never wear more on my face than moisturiser, sunscreen, primer and BB plus concealer under eyes and a little blusher, looks very natural, like to spend more time on my eyes!

In the summer I use Nivea tinted moisturiser. It’s a nice light coverage.
Winter months I use Clinique foundation as I find isn’t too heavy.
