Good Evening; Please don’t visit Sydney just yet! The experts are finally calling it a lock down; from midnight for 7 days subject to review of course. Most of the map shown on Telly is coloured red and by way of contrast it extends out to the West to the Blue Mountains.
Panic buying followed the announcement, what’s new!,? despite assurances that toilet rolls , amongst other things are in plentiful supply!
TV News this evening showed where the demarcation line between two suburbs showed locked down shops on one side of the street and coffee shops still open on the other side.. I’m sure some fraternisation will be arranged!
State politicians have just been given a sustantial pay rise which hasn’t impressed anyone, especially small-business owners and unemployed employees with no income.
Of course, you can’t blame the pollies! It was awarded by an independent tribunal! So far, at least two have said they will give their increase to charities!
rafichagran 1966 was also a momentous year when I changed jobs to one in Ealing and got lost on my way home trying to find an entrance to the M4. No GPS then!
I won’t forget my first day, coinciding with that Aberfan tragedy.
Yes! I find documentaries more “uplifting” than TV dramas, although Vera was all over those as witnessed by dozens of DVDs in the storage racks.
YouTube and my “Comedy Classics” DVDs keep me going, not forgetting Gransnet, of course!
Aveline Rae tells me that Ian will probably be going home on Monday! That’s incredibly quick!
Surely a hip’s worth at least a week, especially given the weather!
Cold, 13C max, but no rain despite what the forecasters said, but an icy wind.!
Well! I was just about to say I hope you’re all good friends again and jolly good company, but on second thoughts, I think I’m best off out of it!
Good Health
