soop, I have just caught up with your news. Sending you all lots of love and gentle hugs!

annodomini Fri 16-Jul-21 21:54:05

I've just caught up with today's news and - oh soop, I'm sending lots of love and healing vibes for wee Toby, hoping for better news in the morning.
Grannmarie, A very long time ago I lived in Broughty Ferry and I used to have lots of relatives there - all gone now, sadly. Enjoy your break there - I love the countryside of Angus and the Glens, and I'll be up in Dundee next month to see my sister. We often drive out to Broughty for morning coffee and a walk along the front.
moon Good night all. Soop, I hope you get some sleep, xx

Apologies for late posting. Charleygirl is unable to access GN at the moment but hopes to have it sorted soon.

Soop, I’ve just read the news about Toby. Sending lots of love and hoping for good news soon.

Thanks, Annodomini, we had a lovely afternoon on the Esplanade near the castle, so many wee familes on the sands and in the sea, reminded me of childhood holidays in the 50s and 60s, although we always went to the west coast, Saltcoats, Ardrossan, Ayr, Girvan and Stranraer.
Lovely wee shopping centre in Broughty Ferry, I like to support the Charity shops. There was a Seasalt dress in the Debra shop, but sadly not my size!

I hope tomorrow brings good news for all with worries or concerns.
Thinking of Toby.
TOYA, NNGB.

Morning all,

So sorry to hear the little chap is so poorly Soop . Here's hoping for better news today .

I am not staying, just popped in to check if there was anything for breakfast :-) !! I have visitors for the week, our eldest daughter and the two big kids arrive today for a week. I hope I make it through lol

The Queen of the Universe received her Head of Year award yesterday for outstanding achievement . She will be 15 in a few short months ( where did that time go?) and has made a choice to pursue a career in either Neurosurgery or Cardio Thoracic surgery ...I'm a little bit stunned to be fair. But as we tell her all the time - hard work will get you where you want to go.

I'll see you all when the week is up .....maybe lol xx

Grannmarie, Maybe our paths have crossed. I was born and brought up in Ardrossan - until I was 17.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 17-Jul-21 10:00:18

N&G don’t hold your breath - our son was definitely orthopaedics until he did his paediatrics rotation! He is now neonatal paeds, specialising in very tiny new borns. ?

Oh bum! Someone from our socially distanced coffee morning has just phoned me to say she is positive for Covid. Ten days at home?

Hello, lovely Kitchen people.

I hope today brings better news about wee Toby, and all who are not so well.
Thinking of you, Soop. flowers

Annodomini, it certainly is a small world! ?
We are back on the Esplanade, enjoying 99s in the 25 degrees sunshine, so glad of the sea breeze!

soop Sat 17-Jul-21 14:02:36

Dearest peeps, the following photo is of Toby, two days post four hour heart surgery. My heart wants to melt with love and gratitude. Bless his cotton socks. He is a super trooper, for sure.

The dry summer thus far, has resulted in the spring water that supplies our home and two others, has dried up. We have a mere trickle right now. Mr Soop out buying bottled water. Our village friends are on the mains supply. We can visit and fill up containers whenever we wish.

Grandmabatty Sat 17-Jul-21 14:15:58

Aw, the wee lamb. I hope he's well on the road to recovery. Soop I think generally there might be a shortage of water. I have included a photo of my breakfast from this morning which my lovely son paid for. Have a good afternoon kitcheners.

dragonfly46 Sat 17-Jul-21 14:18:24

Just popped in to see how Toby is and saw this gorgeous picture of a beautiful boy.
So pleased that he is on the mend. What a brave little soul he is.

Jaxjacky Sat 17-Jul-21 14:26:31

And that breakfast grandamabatty !

GrannyGravy13 Sat 17-Jul-21 14:43:33

Beautiful photo, and encouraging news soop?

soop Sat 17-Jul-21 14:51:08

I shall do my utmost to catch up as quickly as I can. Right now, we are awaiting news of the holding tank way up in the hills. In seventeen years, it has never run dry. The stream supplying it is barely visible.

Sar53 Sat 17-Jul-21 14:57:48

How lovely to see Toby looking so well, upwards and onwards xx

Yiayia4 Sat 17-Jul-21 15:07:27
