Nearly forgot this and only 10 minutes left

"Residents across four Australian states have woken up to a bizarre sight on Wednesday morning, with purple balloons floating out of their mailbox"

If you don't already know, today is National Chocolate Day and the above refers to a promotion by, guess who? Cadburys! It might even be World Chocolate Day!.
Unfortunately I didn't get one, but a nice surprise if it was also your birthday! grin

Sydneysiders not enjoying life just now with lockdown controls extended by another week!
Fortunately we continue to have "double-donut" days!
Not sure when England due to meet Denmark, but may the best team win as I'm sure you will! grin

Aveline What's the weather like in "Edinburgh-On-Sea?"
Good business for paddle-boat entrepreneurs I imagine!

We are dry, but freezing! Tomorrow , sorry, "tomorrow" is already here;! today forecast to be 2C min. 13C max.
Every time the weather lady fronts the TV News camera she smiles and says "tomorrow will be the coldest of the year, so far!"
We're not quite in the middle of Winter yet, so we could be up for more Doonas! sad

State Premiers and Chief Medical Officers are now in the habit of qualifying any news about how well their testing programmes are going by finishing with "but the next few days are critical"
Some regs are slowly being relaxed, but "sports" comes in for heavy criticism for perceived elitism special favours

To think that we were once World leaders in the Anti-Covid stakes and here you have Boris throwing open the Freedom Gates! envy

This evening Baldrick "did" Winchester Cathedral. There's a fair bit of overlap with"Secrets of the Tower"
Never interested in History at school, but now revelling in it; obviously we lacked TV in those days!
I was waiting to hear him make a remark about "The Beatles"; or am I on the wrong tram? confused

Late for bed again, but a "lay-in" might be on the cards later!

HiRufus hope I’ve not woken you. Had 90 minute call to my dear grandson in NSW this morning, Iguess he’s tucked up in bed by now, he was just about to cook his dinner as we spoke so as usual I am late . It was good to tell him about our wedding celebration which featured his cousin with whom he’d sharedlots of time at our house, We’d missed him and he’d missed us but there you go….
Yes I believe footiefever is building up tonight especially as some restrictions seem to have been lifted.
Cheers????????

Hi Rufus2 very hot sunny weather today. Lucky really as we had to sit about for ages in the Botanic gardens waiting to be filmed. Very interesting afternoon at the Antiques Roadshow. What a huge production it is. So many people rushing about with clipboards and radios.
Torrential rain just after we got home.

New Vaudeville Band, Rufus!

Winchester Cathedral
You're bringing me down
You stood and you watched as
My baby left town…

Stay warm!
