Good Morning Everyone,
Its cloudy but dry here in Brackley this morning, it will be a usual day for me after staying in yesterday .
I will have my usual hour in Bicester using the bus , do a small shop and cafe stop , it seems to have gone down as to people out and about . There are high admission as to covid , with Oxford being one key area for those admissions .
But will proceed with care , but think the PM has taken a gamble or he does not care about Joe Public .
Take Care,
Mick

Good Morning from a warm & bright Cambs.,

Pleased for the England result last night, looking forward to Sunday's final.

We have an Ocado order arriving this morning, (having that every couple of weeks, saves having to go out so often).

The rise in Covid cases are worrying. Even when it is no longer the law to wear masks/ keeping distances, I think I will still do so, for my own peace of mind.

There are some lovely photos on here this morning, thank you for those.

Take Care, especially those with added worries.

50 years Gingster what an achievement and such a smiley photograph, thank you for posting it.
Ashcombe Queen Elizabeth docked in Southampton yesterday, it has an outbreak of Covid amongst the crew and there are three ships leaving tomorrow on British cruises. There’s a traffic warning on the local website as all three, Celebrity Silhouette, Marcella Explorer and Disney Magic are leaving in the same 45 minute window. The massive Iona comes in tomorrow, we’re some miles out, so it won’t affect us.

Good morning Mick and all his followers.
Suffolk is cloudy but dry.
DH has gone off to collect the Tesco order while I wait for a call from the dentist. I lost a crown - she has just called! 11.20 appointment.
When I get home, I aim to finish planting my new flower bed. Apart from weeding, there will be a rest from major garden projects for a couple of months. We shall sit there with our books and enjoy our hard work.
I hope the day is kind to everyone.

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest Lancashire coast.
Had a lovely day in Chester yesterday, one of my favourite cities, a quiet day today and might up the Vit D between household chores.
Lovely pics today and thank you for all your kind remarks on my watercolour the other day, so nice to read!
Thoughts to Imogen and all with worries.

Good morning all from finally sunny Harrogate!
Marydoll you can have him, but you must have plenty of floor space for his piles of newspapers, magazines, atlases and anything else he thinks of piling! Think we are going for a spin in the car shortly. I've had my delivery from sainsburies. Our dog starts barking long before the van arrives at our house. She's either Psychic or has very acute hearing. She's the same with our DDs' cars

Good for England winning, felt sorry for the Danes some of whom were near to tears
Susan it is hard, you can't choose your relatives!
Lovely pictures Baubles Must try and go there next time I visit my sister (Lochmaben)!
Gingster enjoy your day. We celebrated ours last year just before the first Lockdown. We just had a meal out with our daughters. which was very pleasant.
Have the best day possible folks.

Marydoll I sent to the Good Morning Wednesday yday a pic I thought you would appreciate . As you didn’t comment, I assume you haven’t seen it. I’m in awe of all you GNers who are up with the lark. If left to my own body clock, I wake about 10:15 or so. Since Covid started I’ve been going to bed about 21:00, I read for a while but I rarely fall asleep easily.
Hence, by the time I am compos mentís , it is late morning to the posters!
I leave posts after midday and no body sees them!
Anyway, I did stay up for the footie last night. As an expat, I am not one of the ABE ( anyone but England!) brigade. I’ve been in the south east for 42 years and married to a New Forester for nearly 30 years. I’m just pleased that one of the home nations has done well. If it was rugby, that’s a different story! Scotland all the way.
Have a good day one and all. Good luck with the contractors Mary and I hope you look back to my pic!

Enjoying my second coffee outside an despite the few clouds, it's very pleasant. Back for my second visit Morningsters.

Dwmxwg Have a good journey home tomorrow and enjoy Chatsworth today. Brook. My friends took me to the tea rooms at Chatsworth for my 60th birthday. Very grand. I did a balloon ride years ago and it went over Chatsworth. We dropped down low over the The Hunting Tower Greyduster. What a way to see the house and the grounds?

Alizarin Sorry to read of your sad family situation.?

Harrigran Good news that your DH's session was a gentle one.

Gingster That would niggle me too. A lot! It's our 5th WA later this month. We won't make our 50th but we treasure each day, week, month, year together.

Espee Clouds, water, blue sky and swans. What beautiful, peaceful scenes. Thank you.

My day is now filled with a mixture of tasks. Ring the granite company to finalise our order of black limestone slabs that will surround the new build (bungalow). It will go under the veranda, extend onto the patio area in front then 2m around two sides and 1m around the other 2 sides. 150m2 in total. I suspect he will tell me there will be a wait, mainly due to its popularity. We would have loved Cornish Slate but despite it being expensive, it is really not very safe to walk on outside. The limestone is the total opposite.

Next task is to do a longer walk with Mya and then drive to the post office. I've had a go at pressing the pedals and it's all OK. So glad I bought an automatic.

First task has already been done. I've pegged the final of two washes out.

One task I will not tackle today is the grass and weeds. They will have to keep growing.?Amazing how much clover there is. Even in low gear, the mower will be too fast for me at my snail's pace. I'm getting there though.

Borrheid55. I'm one that reads the morning posts at the end of the day. I then go onto soop's kitchen and a few others. Most days I visit here twice. I wonder how many others come onto Mick's thread after 6:00pm?

Nearly the afternoon. Take care everyone.

grandMattie Thu 08-Jul-21 11:50:27

I post early because most days I’m wide awake and up between 0500 & 0530. It’s called being an extreme lark. I do have a nap most afternoons if I can.

dustyangel Thu 08-Jul-21 11:50:27

Good morning all, I haven’t read everyone’s posts yet but I thought that it might be cheering for us all to see one of the Portuguese news Instagram photos.
Not very clear but it’s showing that flamingoes have been born for the first time(?certainly for very many years) in the Algarve.?

dustyangel Thu 08-Jul-21 11:53:20

Should appear now

dustyangel Thu 08-Jul-21 11:54:43

Oh well. They flew away for a moment. Obviously tech problems again!

Marydoll Thu 08-Jul-21 12:01:29

Borrheid, my DIL tested my husband's hearing about two years ago, when she worked in Specsavers. She told him his hearing loss was moderate.
I told her recently, that she is to blame for the problems I have now. He stubbornly refuses to believe that diagnosis is no longer valid.

Did I tell you I was at the hairdresser's the other week, the girls were speaking very fondly of your mum? I had been hoping to catch a glimpse of her, but short of ringing her door bell, no chance! I'm still a bit scared of her after all these years!!!! ?
I'm glad your husband is on the mend. I do agree, he is very unappreciative. I was thinking of sending him a very stern letter! wink

I really need to email you for a catch up. I already owe two other grans a reply!

As for the decking, the first stage has just been finished. Hopefully the glass will arrive within a few weeks. MrMDoll is outside putting my whirly back up. Thank goodness, I don't want to be asking the neighbours for my underwear back! blush

Good morning from warm, dry but cloudy Anglesey.
I apologise because I haven’t yet read your morning posts. I have only just woken up. I got bitten to pieces by an unknown creature yesterday and was unbearably itchy. Obviously took too many antihistamine pills and slept soundly for nearly twelve hours.
Went shopping with Orlin yesterday morning for a pullover. He was very taken with a grey cardigan, that’s it, it’s official, I am married to an old man.
Needless to say he did not come home with it. Two pullovers, a very nice pair of trousers and some polo shirts. He did well.
Hoping all is well with you, I will now go back and read all your doings or all your busyness as Pantglas would say. Where on earth is she?
Take care ?

Not quite morning everyone. Dry and quite dull in the Scottish Borders. No rain forecast so washing machine being used a lot. One of the AC home. Have not seen for over eighteen months. He is more grown up than me now. How did that happen? Apologies, I have skipped to the end to write this and will now read people's posts. Wishing everyone a good a day as possible. I am sorry some people are going through difficult times.
