Good morning everyone from a grey Northampton, but the sun ? is trying to come out.

A bacon sandwich this morning then I shall be out in the garden tidying up some overgrown shrubs. I spent yesterday afternoon trimming the edges of the lawn, then got the mower out to pick up all the clippings. But then I must book a Sainsbury's delivery for after my holiday; I tried yesterday but apparently I was a day too early.

Lamb chops for dinner this evening, then I think there's some football on.....

Oops, I forgot to mention that I have been bold, and booked a cruise for August next year! It's the one I should have been on last year, and I have got the same cabin. Keeping my fingers crossed.....

Wishing all a pleasant Sunday.

Good morning all from Welwyn, Herts where the sun is trying to come through a rather cloudy sky. We are promised rain later on in the day.
An exciting day of sporting events is ahead with the tennis men's final and of course the big match, may the best man/team win but it should be a good watch.
Wishing everyone a pleasant Sunday

Good Morning everyone from a pale grey Severnside.

I had a lovely day out yesterday with Beechnutella. One of the things we did was to go and look at sculptures and an added bonus was the garden they were in.

I had a look around my garden later in the day and it needs some serious attention in one place so that may well be my job for today.

Do you get people humming along to your piano music behind their masks Ash? I don’t think I could resist.

Hope you all enjoy the sporty day if interested and if not enjoy what you do ????????

Morning all from a sunny North Leicestershire.

Hopefully, the weather will stay nice so we can have lunch outside. We have DD1 and family coming for lunch. We haven't seen them for ages - phoning and messaging is fine but not the same.

Enjoy your days everyone.

Forgot the photo of my clematis.

Esspee Sun 11-Jul-21 06:59:48

Good morning everyone,

It's looking rather grey here in Glasgow. Yesterday started like this but the sun did come out and so did one of my lovely clematis. Isn't it beautiful? OH gallantly trimmed the front hedge and blasted the weeds with his flame thrower. The sweet peas which have only just started flowering were then stripped bare of every one showing colour and the bunch given to our neighbour for her mother on her birthday. I am hoping to have colourful colums on either side of the back door if he just leaves them be.

I bought a large box of mushrooms at the market and spent over an hour on my feet cleaning, chopping, cooking then freezing them in meal size portions. There's enough to add to 10 meals for the princely sum of £1.50. I love a bargain.?

No idea what we shall do today. I suspect I shall be gardening while the TDF is on depending on the weather. Sundays mean a bacon, black pudding and potato scone roll for breakfast and I've just heard the front door close so I had better get prepared for the arrival of the fresh rolls and the Sunday papers.

Hope everyone has a peaceful day.

Good morning Mick and all from warmish Lueneburg. I visited some friends yesterday and we had several hours of catching up. Today nothing but taking the dog for a walk is planned. I shall sit down and read a book. Last week I was out meeting friends every day and I am really a little wary about all this freedom. I am watching "the football match" later. Good luck to the English. Wishing all of you a pleasant day. Take care.

Good morning all from here up north. I'm still in bed but guessing that it's pretty grey outside. Certainly no lovely sunshine pushing through the curtains. I do love a Sunday even though currently it's not much different to other days. I do anticipate a couple of lovely phone conversations though. Very joyful. Tomorrow will see me hitting the high spots at a reunion tea with various ex service personnel. Yippee. Have a good day everyone!

nanna8 Sun 11-Jul-21 06:45:32

Thanks lovely person , hope it stays away too. We have had 4 bad ones so far.

Alizarin Sun 11-Jul-21 06:43:38

Thank you nanna8! I was intrigued about your day being way ahead of mine! Hope the lockdown stays away from you. All the best from across the world.

Good morning from my daughter's spare room in Kent. Another grey day by the look of it.
The drive here yesterday was fine and my granddaughter's dance show was wonderful. The theatre was only allowed a socially distanced audience and we had to wear a mask all the time but that didn't detract from the great music, beautiful costumes and the sheer enjoyment of all the young people taking part.
I shall be leaving here about 9 to go home, hopefully DH will have our roast dinner all prepared ?
I'm looking forward to the football this evening and will probably watch the tennis this afternoon.
Have the best Sunday you can everyone xx

nanna8 Sun 11-Jul-21 06:40:29

Alizarin I am in Melbourne. So far we are free of the Sydney lockdowns but we are all expecting, now the school holidays are over, it will cross the border.

MiniMoon Sun 11-Jul-21 06:38:58

Good morning one and all. I am a rarity here. I've been up since 3 am suffering from terrible indigestion. I will probably stay up now as I still have stomach ache.
2 grandchildren coming later to watch the Euro 2020 football final as they only have streaming services at home. Enjoy your Sunday.

Dwmxwg Sun 11-Jul-21 06:37:34

Good morning all from a sunny start to the day here in north Surrey.
Was good to see mum and dad yesterday although they both seemed a bit weary.
The weather was kind in the afternoon and our friends BBQ went ahead as planned so lots of natter and catching was enjoyed by all.
A bit of gardening, dog walks and roast dinner today and I will try to watch the football with DH this evening if my anxiety levels allow ????????
Wishing all a peaceful Sunday

Morning Mick, morning All from a bright corner of Somerset.

Yesterday turned out to be surprisingly full, although not sure how it happened. Little sleep last night could well trigger a tetchy time in Cornerland. Mr C would be grateful for sympathy.

Enjoy what you can of today everyone, hope Sunday is kind to us all.

Alizarin Sun 11-Jul-21 06:28:14

Good morning from a dry, bright south Cornwall. A walk to the Pier and back to stretch my hips I think before settling down to watch the tennis and, later, the football. I shall have square eyes! Watched the 1966 England/W. Germany match yesterday. My son drove from Cornwall to Heathrow and back overnight (he's a taxi driver) and is nearly home now. The wonders of being in your 30's!!!

Have a good day wherever possible.

(Where are you nanna8?)

monk08 Sun 11-Jul-21 06:25:21

Good morning from a cloudy Black country.
Early start today DH has a fishing contest and 1 of his tablets has to be 1hr before food hence rising early, he leaves the house at 6.45am to pick up a colleague.
I have some ironing to do and will catch up with housework, may catch a few Zzzzz's this afternoon.
Roast beef for dinner and I think there's some sport on this evening ?⚽️.
Enjoy your day and may you all find some ?

Good morning from Torbay, where the light is rather eerie with rain likely soon, I expect.

Thank you for the kind comments about the trip to the ballet yesterday. The ballet was wonderful with the reassuring Covid secure environment delivered by the Theatre Royal., All the bus connections worked, with both my friend and I being on earlier buses than planned so we were in Plymouth by 11.00 a.m. We enjoyed a superb lunch at Fletcher's before the performance. A long day saw me in bed by 9.30 p.m.!

I’m booked to play the piano for church this morning. Roll on the day when we can sing there as well! Have a blessed Sunday, everyone!? ✝️?

nanna8 Sun 11-Jul-21 06:22:39

Bright and chilly here. Went to church this morning- lovely to see a full congregation for once after all the virtual sessions. We all have to wear masks which doesn’t help the singing but still glad to be there. Done some weeding this afternoon and silly pussy fell in the pond. He is new to us , a ‘rescue cat ‘and has never come across ponds in his life, clearly. Jumped out quick enough!

grandMattie Sun 11-Jul-21 06:14:32

Good morning from a bright Kent. Seems unusual for us at the moment.
Hope Cav carries on doing so well, Mick. It’s nice to see out UK athletes and footballers, etc., achieving such heights.
Virtual church this morning. Leftovers for dinner. Since we’re celebrating Christmas next Friday, with our boys, I can’t be bothered having a roast today.
Trust every one manages to catch at least one ?flamingo from a passing flamboyance ????? ?☀️?
