Backhanded Compliments

There was a thread a while back, so it is a sequel.
What "Compliments" have you been given?

I answered a man's buzzer when working in a care home, and he said "Oh, thank god it's you! I was worried it might be a dollybird".

I don't believe the phrase 'shabby chic'. It's either shabby or chic, it's just an excuse for untidy people to use. Same as a sofa 'throw'. Everyone will know you can't afford a new sofa.

Well pardon me but my sofa is 19 years old, Its still very comfortable and I do use throws on it but if I wanted to I could afford five or six new sofas!

Well that’ll attract the flies was my husbands remark as I adorned my new yellow blouse . Adding on as an afterthought but you’ll do.
