Favourite saying from my adult Daughter is that “she is never too old for Spending Money”. She is over 40!
Any more, ‘never too old for’ sayings in your family?

Just had a full gastric bypass at 65 years! Feel wonderful, no longer hypertensive, no longer diabetic & I’m only 12 weeks post op!

Never too old to do what you want to do, and not bother about anyone else's opinion!
Wear what you feel comfortable in and makes you feel good as well!

You are never too old to get on a swing in the park. I've never tried the slide in case my bottom gets stuck halfway down grin

Never too old to find a new cat, although actually this last new cat was found for me by our elderly cat who wants some feline company.

Watching my 80 year old dad do 3 roll polys one after another then pulling a wheelie on his bike and the sheer enjoyment on his face proves never too old

Never too old to spend a week in a villa in Spain totally naked.
Unoverlooked, it was fabulous, skinny dipping and not having a wet swimsuit on after.

Never too old to tell someone to get stuffed when they make sarcastic comments.
And never too old to play with G/children.

We had a lovely family day out 2 years ago. I looked after the bags and jackets and watched while my AC and 4 GC had an exhilarating ride on the zip wire extended across the boating lake in the park.

I declined the boat rides that were next on their list. While they set off in 2 boats I slipped into the queue for the zip wire and flew across the lake right above them. I managed to squeal their names to attract their attention just before I took off. I loved it and my only regret is not having video evidence. The look on their faces as I flew across the lake was priceless.

Oh well done Granny. I can just imagine how much fun you had surprising them.

Never too old to try something new (but not in high places for me)

How kind, BlueBelle. There are some decent people about.

Never too old to have a sea swim on a hot day ohhh it was lovely

I haven’t seen her since CoviD but there used to be a very doddery old lady who went for a dip most days and one of the life guards used to go and help her when they saw her tottering with her stick down the beach and one of them would stay with her till she was ready to come out I thought that was really sweet

Bellanonna Sun 18-Jul-21 19:29:04

I never miss a swing in the park. Only if I’m with GC of course. I have skinny dipped too. Would do it again if the right kind of isolation presented itself

Never too old to ride a scooter. I bought one for my GS's birthday and he wanted to know if I was getting one for mine a week later.

M0nica Sun 18-Jul-21 16:38:47

How can any one even ask this problem after the example of Capatain Tom, who started walking laps of his garden tor ais money for the NHS as he approached his 100th birthday - and after that had all kinds of incredible experiences.

Hetty58 Sun 18-Jul-21 15:49:08

'Never too old to go over my knee' - often said to my adult kids - so similar to LadyGracie - and loved by the grandchildren!

crazyH Sun 18-Jul-21 15:46:48

Espee , how lucky are you ! I’ve closed all curtains and blinds, just loose t-shirt and knickers and watching the Grand Prix, hoping I can catch a glimpse of son and family in the crowd ?

Esspee Sun 18-Jul-21 15:37:39

Well I have been skinny dipping in a Scottish river today. First for me - I'm 72.
No doubt that will become part of family folklore.
No it was not cold and the rapids made an exciting jacuzzi.
I did have a sunhat and shoes on - I'm sure it still qualifies as skinny dipping. smile
