Good Evening; Here you go, on the cusp of throwing off your hospital-grade shackles!
I guess with all your hot weather that you’ve already let your hair down! and it might also need a thinning out in order to keep your cool!

Welcome EkwaNimitee Of course! As I typed your name the penny dropped!
Very apt! No doubt you’ll appreciate your ability to keep your cool in the current heatwave!
However, I think our Winters are getting more like your Winters!; as were your Summers not many years ago.
When I visited my mother in a retirement home in Parkstone each July, I’d spend a day out on a coach trip; two of which I can’t forget as it rained all day to Looe and again the IOW!
In July, mind you!

Megs. Yes! We have U3As The one down the road is “embedded” in a retirement village and runs a computer section once a week which was useful for keeping up as well as being a social outing!
I’ve tried “German for Beginners” several times before at otherU3As, but each time most of the class turned out to be nearly word perfect, so naturally the class and teacher were soon jabbering away in German Very good organisation!
We also have many Probus Clubs’ but they serve different purposes

Jaxjacky Don’t sit too near the fan in your frock! Could put on quite a show! shock
Reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe standing on that grating!
Unfortunately, although your tomatoes may be healthy and aphid free, they might remain permanently green! and you probably wouldn’t fancy them as chutney! grin

Decided to strike out on my own regarding shopping, seeing as how Ian is still immobilised after his Hip Hop.
Internet is full of promotions for home delivery, so will give it a go after I’ve deciphered the Ts & Cs.
The lemon tree is having a good year and any lady drivers are welcome to use the indoor facilities. The nurses do ,without any adverse comments, so that’s a good endorsement!
We did away with outside Dunnies years ago. grin
Kindly neighbours have offered to help, with shopping,, but I hate being a burden! wink

Good Health wine wine wine

I’m sure all your neighbours love you Rufus. I bet just having you there increases the house prices !
Sitting with my feet up, drinking water. There are no repeats of Downton Abbey on at the weekend so I will have to find something to watch.
It’s been a very quiet day ( as usual ). I haven’t been on Gransnet long so joined in on some game threads and very stupidly missed the point that they were supposed to be alphabetical ! So I’ve been exposed as a twit !
Never mind. I’ll just have to live with the shame !
Have a lovely evening !

My partner loves sport so I have left him at home watching it on Sky.
Keep well.

Rufus we've become accustomed to grocery deliveries now, after initial hiccups of not being able to register with any supermarkets and, generally, I can recommend them. There's always the puzzling substitution, though.

I think we have Aussie temperatures here today - 34C registering in the garden. Of course, mostly the British don't have aircon, just central heating grin

I've been on GN a while but still did that the other day Infinity.

Hi Rufus2. I'm in U3A too. Various groups. I do talks to all sorts of groups. One Probus group I liked so much that I asked to join it. Naturally as soon as I joined Covid struck so it's been Zoom talks ever since. Some have been fascinating, others quite desperately boring ('My favourite walk!').
I was celebrating slightly over the weekend as I sold another story. Currently writing a bedtime story for DGSs. It has to be a bit scary but not too much according to DD (their Mum).
Oh well. Onwards!
