Why Does Oil Fluctuate Just On The Whims And Wishes Of Trump?
Good Morning Everyone,
Th start of another hot and balmy day here in Brackley this morning , on the bottom left of my screen its saying its 17C and sunny at the moment here.
Today , an easy day in housework needs to be done after 3 weeks of Tour De France on TV .
At least Cav was the only other individual jersey winner ,as the race winner took mountain and youth competitions.
Easy week , build up to early morning watching Olympics from next Saturday .
Take Care,
Mick
Thanks muse will look for some seeds next time in garden centre.?
Just looked them up monk. Another name is Californian Poppy.
About 4 days monk08. They were so easy to germinate and one seed is producing at least 3 sprays of flowers.
Never heard of jelly bean flowers muse but those are beautiful do they last long?
Oh to be 25 again Grandmafrench. Or even a bit of that “feeling 17” please Ali. Lack of mobility is annoyingly curtailing my usually activity persona.???♀️??♀️??♂️??
Hope the bites are easing nanKate.
Several got me too.
There’s far too many of you ironing ?. Stop it.
Just picked another bunch of Jelly Bean flowers. They’re so delicate and remind me of cup cake cases.
Thinking of any struggling today. Missing posters, please drop by. ?
post it and the whole lots disappears
Muse It's what 's known as progress!! I'm old-fashioned and only use my desk-top PC which facilitates an almost idiot-proof solution!
Pleased you survived your first chopper flight, but you wouldn't get me up there in one if they paid me!
Did you ask him to do a loop-the-loop?
That would have been fun!
B9 I'm definitely closer. My son lives in Stirling. Was it Kings Park for your picnic? It's a lovely park and we walk there from my son's house often. He lives in the King's Park area. Your hotel looks lovely too. I hope you are having a good time.
Crumbs muse I love helicopters and in my head I’d go in one, in reality I’m too cowardly in reality, brilliant photo’s.
Cool picture hollysteers, so clever, not one weeny artistic bone here.
good morning from sunny Torbay. Clear blue skies, turquoise sea with shadows of the few clouds that there are scudding across the sea, cruise ships anchored and going nowhere, dingies race round in circles and occasional buzz of jet skies - and that's not counting the bees, wasps and bird song.
Where I am, sitting next to an east facing open window the breeze is lovely and beats hands down sitting on the beach covered in sun cream and sand. I used to enjoy sitting and walking in the sun but not any more. Nevertheless, I do get itchy feet cos I yearn for those days.
Good morning all,
Another warm day in South Yorkshire. Not supposed to be quite as hot as yesterday but I’m not convinced of that, though it’s probably due to the humidity making it feel hotter.
Like many of you, I had a horrible night trying to sleep as it was so humid and sticky, plus as I got warmer, the insect bites itched ever more furiously despite the application of insect bite cream. The little horrors seem more vicious than ever this year.
Went out earlier before the sun got too strong to water all the pots. They soon dry out in this heat. Now I think it’s time for some tea before I load the washing machine.
I hope you all enjoy the day, despite the sticky heat. Keep well hydrated. ?
Good morning everyone. Cool but pleasant in my part of the Scottish Borders. I forgot to press "send" yesterday...Trying to organise some JLP purchases and maybe order more books to read. May do some sitting on the floor gardening later. Being very careful. Thinking of you. Being here is a great comfort to me. Ddog getting used to my restricted movements but aware my hand can always find him a biscuit..
You brave lady , Muse Great pics. Love St. Ives.
I despair of GN some days.?15 mins of patiently typing my post on my iPhone so I can include some flamingoes , then include 3 photos - post it and the whole lots disappears. I'm now on my laptop for quickness and a slightly shorter post ?
Good Morning Mick and all Morningsters.
On 30 December 2019 I was 70. I rarely celebrate my birthday on the day but I had two things planned for 2020. We all know what 2020 was like? But, finally, one of my treats happened yesterday, A helicopter flight (first one) with me in the seat by a very young pilot, doing a sightseeing zoom along the north Cornwall coast. One photo is of St Ives showing the Tate Modern. My go to place on quieter days. I say my first flight as I would love to do more.
The company only do these flights two days in the year from the airfield near Perranporth but they raise money from the flights and photographs. They currently have £200,000 pledged for Cornwall Air Ambulance. ??
MrM was there with me too (in the back) and afterwards he spent ages longing for- droolling admiring the gyrocopters at the airfield.
Our table and parasol have been moved to get more shade so I spent the rest of the day sat sewing. After Friday's terrible result of walking to and from Specsavers, I'm limiting the distance and time I spend on my feet in one session. Three weeks since the fall. Extension lead out and the sewing machine was in action. Thanks to Sewing Bee, I'm in the mood for stitching. One tunic nearly finished.
I'll be posting a little more as the day does by. Only read Mick's, Jax's and Grandmafrench's early bird posts. ? I'm aiming to be the last one each day.
Take care everyone ?.
Good morning all from hot and sunny Lancashire. No laundry to do as I washed everything already, just some household chores. Beautiful painting Hollysteers. My hay fever is quiet at the moment, hope you feel better soon Elizabeth, neurofatigue is indeed a killer.
It’s very quiet here, Freedom Day seems like a damp squib. Mr. B and I intend to keep avoiding crowds and wearing masks. Happy Monday to all, hope the day brings some comfort and happiness ??
Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest Lancashire coast.
A catch up day, lots of bits and pieces, phoning optician, booking tickets etc.
Just had a visit from a red squirrel to my bird station. Then it sat on the roof for a while looking around. Nice to see a red.
Just finishing a collection of John Lennon’s Letters, nothing special and I’m not impressed by his spelling!
Hope you all have as cool a day as you can.
Friday’s watercolour.
Good morning, Mick and everyone from a hot sunny Carlisle. Be careful what you wish for! Having been moaning about the lack of sun, I'm now not too happy about too much of it. Though it's not really the sun so much as the temperature, it's too warm for me to be out and active. It couldn't be a gardening day anyway as the ground is like concrete, it will be a gentle housework and admin day instead plus I will hopefully make a start on putting together a large storage rack in my garage. My largest piece yet and supposedly needs two of me so we shall see.
DS1 and family are abroad on holiday. He was telling me about the tests they have to do, self administered and no one checks so it all relies on you not cheating. I don't believe no one will cheat so how will that prevent the spread of the virus?
Thank you again for your greeting, Jaxjacky if you didn't see my response on the Saturday evening thread. Time is flying by at an alarming rate these days.
Wishing everyone a happy and problem free day.
Good morning all from bright Harrogate
Gelisjam you must get some butteries in Aberdeen - the bakery delicacy. Aberdeen in the sunshine is lovely, you the see it at its best!
Today I must pop to Morrisons for some groceries between calls to my school friend and to my DSis, probably Borge DSis because I think my younger sis is going to Dunoon tomorrow.
Yesterday was a bit of a nothingness day - apart from going to church in the morning, I fell asleep watching DHs repeats in the afternoon but it gave me the impetus to clean out the drawers in the kitchen.
Hope everyone has the best day they can today
B9, Grandmabatty, is much nearer!
It would take me about forty minutes to reach you on a good day, with DH driving and me supervising navigating! I don't do motorways any more. Too fast for me!
Your room is lovely!
Good morning Auntyflo and all x
Greetings all from Stirling, we can't be all that far away from you Marydoll We met up with DS and his family, will be taking tgem to the local gardens for a picnic, and out for dinner this evening. They only have a 2 bedroomed flat, so we are staying in a hotel and have been upgraded, this is our room!
Unfortunately coming down the rough ground around Tioram castle the day before yesterday I have pulled something in my right ankle, and walking is a bit difficult, no doubt I will be in for a bit of rib pulling later!
Lovely to hear of your plans for the day. Keep well and safe.
Good morning Mick and all his followers. Sunny and wa already in Suffolk. I set the alarm to get up early to water but it didn’t happen. Soon …
I have just taken the last antibiotic for last week’s insect bites. Despite anti histamine tablets, they still itch like mad, after 10 days.
You nearly made it Gf - set the alarm tomorrow? ? Marydoll our garden is a constant source of work, which today will not get done.
Ironing in front of the fan and TV today. I know how to live!
I hope the day is kind to everyone.
Good morning from my cool patio, which the sun is threatening to hit later on. Since yesterday two of my children are now in their 40's, which can't be possible because I still feel 17!!!
Spent yesterday in the depths downstairs. My lease says it's a 'bike store' but it's where I keep my wood and wire and tools etc and do my heavy, messy work. It's below ground and therefore as cool as a cave. Emerged to a baking hot patio at 5.30pm. Same plan today. Have the best day you can everyone. Thinking of those with problems and sadnesses.
Good morning from a sunny NE, again.
Yesterday started well but became increasingly cloudy as the day progressed.
DD and SIL visited, brought my shopping and we had a long chat. She is going to have to return to Belgium before September otherwise she will have a problem, as the UK is no longer in the EU and she works for a European association.
We used to have flights from Brussels to our airport which made a weekend in the UK a viable option, only option now is one train a day requiring an overnight stay in London.
Family were returning from holiday last night, sounds as if they had a good break. Sadly DS is still not well enough to drive so DIL had the pleasure of five hours behind the wheel on her birthday.
DH has expressed a wish to go out in the car, it hasn't been off the drive in more than two months, we shall see when BIL comes.
Freedom day ? Our health authority have asked nurses to cancel their holidays and return to work.
Good morning all from a definitely cooler start to the day here on the east coast of Fife.
Yesterday was very worrying for me as I had a hay fever and stroke fatigue not a good combination I can assure you.
Thankfully because the weathers much cooler today I’m feeling so much better
Laid up in bed all day yesterday. It felt such a waste of a day
The gazebo is up for the weekend bbq my dh and next door have done a grand job. Fingers crossed the gazebo will not be needed for any rain on Saturday else the best of plans will be scuppered.
Have a good day everyone and stay safe we’ve not out the woods quite yet. Hugs all around and from a distance
Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Bright sunshine in South Yorkshire again, but there seems to be a bit of a breeze going on, so maybe we will be able to spend more time outside, as opposed to yesterday when it was too hot to do anything at all. I, too, will do some early ironing this morning. Needs must…..! Have the best day you can folks.
