Just seen Harry has written a tell it all book, well with a ghost writer anyway. What on earth is left to say? From what I understand it’s his life from his viewpoint along with lessons for us all. I’m beginning to feel sorry for the rest of the RF. where is it going to end.

Infinity2. My Dad was also surprised to see the king wearing make up but it was explained that it was so the men at the back of the regiment could see him properly. He was also very short apparently.

Quote from online:

"In a statement Harry said: 'I'm writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man I have become' - but one royal insider responded tartly: 'A book by Harry, as written by Meghan.'"

"Another source revealed that the announcement had provoked 'much eye-rolling', adding: 'I think everyone is just tired of being angry when it comes to those two. They have spent the last 18 months doing everything they promised Her Majesty they wouldn't do – making a living off their previous lives and status as members of the Royal Family. It's depressingly predictable, unfortunately.'"

Apparently it’s an ‘Inspiring, uplifting and courageous human story’, according to the publishers who would know wouldn’t they. It really makes me sick and angry. Don’t know why it’s making me cross, perhaps it’s all the people who do important work and never ever get recognised for it or have the financial means to look after themselves. I used to feel sorry for Harry but I’d like to sit that man down and tell him what for. I bet a lot of other GNers could do a better job than me but I’m willing to volunteer. Off to stick my head in the freezer.

My family were incredibly patriotic. When the national anthem used to be played when the television stopped broadcasting, the whole family would stand up. Same at the pictures. My father saw the old King and Queen when they were opening something. He was so disappointed. He said they were caked in thick make up like mannequins.
The men who fought in my family would have despised Harry for dragging the Royal Family into the mud.
He should be ashamed of himself.

Very good Infinity grin

It’s unbelievable that the two events have been announced within a week. Harry certainly isn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer to accept these two announcements in the same week.

I had to laugh at a headline I saw from The Sun that talked about the book causing a ‘Tsunami of Fear amongst the Royals’. ( this was online on a news feed btw)
Get a grip.
We won’t need to worry about Covid anymore, as anyone who reads it will be dead of boredom.
He’s putting the last nail in the coffin of the British monarchy.
In 20 years we’ll be having a referendum on becoming a republic.
Someone ought to tell Harry about not killing the golden goose.
Be careful what you wish for.
As to Mephistopheles - I think it’ll be the Queen of Woo Woo, Oprah or else Meghan’s spiritual advisor -
Walt Disney.

I, for one, have enough of his poor me attitude. William went through the same ,as do thousands of children.. They now have the nerve, after all their hatred against his family,, to want to have their newest child Christened in front of the Queen. Are they worried they might lose family favour, well certainly lost it with many I imagine, and with many of the British public.

maddyone Tue 20-Jul-21 10:29:04

And if Harry is Dr Faustus (the man who sold his soul to the devil) who is Mephistopheles (who enabled Faustus to sell his soul to the devil) ?

Sara1954 Tue 20-Jul-21 10:25:37

Can there be anything left that we don’t already know?
More whining, whinging, and Poor Me, I find the entire thing so distasteful.

Namsnanny Tue 20-Jul-21 10:16:19

It's depressing to watch maddyone

Namsnanny Tue 20-Jul-21 10:14:40

Even certain psychotherapists, think he's gone overboard.

maddyone Tue 20-Jul-21 10:14:34

Witzend, I think you’re right, it will sell, but it certainly won’t be a best seller. I very much doubt it’ll have any literary value. I think it’s probably being written primarily for the American audience. I feel very sorry for his family, especially Prince Charles. Frankly I’m appalled at this behaviour. Has he no dignity? He reminds me of Dr Faustus, the man who sold his soul to the devil.

I am so disapppointed in Harry. It seems he will do anything to make money, even shooting down his own family.
The book will just be more endless whinging I suppose.
I won't buy it.

Jillyjosie

I think he's a breath of fresh air. I see him always as the lost boy following his mother's coffin, not allowed to cry or show grieving. Instead supposed to look poker faced like the rest of the Royals who, having treated his mother so harshly, were probably secretly glad at her death. Harry is their come uppance, welcome to the modern world. I'm not surprised he's gone to live in America where people are emotionally savvy and free.

So why do so many Americans have their psychotherapist on speed dial?

Namsnanny Tue 20-Jul-21 10:10:22

If there is an audience for what he says, he will never have to tax himself to find out.

Anniebach Tue 20-Jul-21 10:02:22

What else can he talk / write about

Namsnanny Tue 20-Jul-21 09:59:01

The book isnt about making money though is it?

It's about keeping their foot on the pedal, and building a following.

To achieve their goal they have to attract attention. Any subject matter will do.
For now trashing the RF is doing well.

Witzend Tue 20-Jul-21 09:51:18

I dare say it’ll sell, which is all the publishers care about.

IMO it’s high time he stopped bleating and whining, though.

NotSpaghetti Tue 20-Jul-21 09:48:55

Jilly it was clear when I lived in America that only some Americans were emotionally savvy and free.

They may be less inherently "stiff" than the UK, but no. I didn't see that.

Namsnanny Tue 20-Jul-21 09:45:25

Its always good to have another perspective Jillyjosie!

I heard when Meghan told Harry he had to find a ghost writer he rushed out and bought a ouija board.

She should get him into telly. He could do some adverts for sun blinds or mobility scooters and it would keep him occupied.

I wish the literary world would stop publishing all these Royal losers. When will it end ?

Redhead56 Tue 20-Jul-21 09:21:31

I am wondering if it will be published before the Royal christening.

Grandmafrench Tue 20-Jul-21 09:10:52

I think he’s a bloody disgrace. It would be difficult to be any more disappointed in his post Royal behaviour.

Anyone can write a book - or find someone to ghost write it, but to keep coming up with the same old whining and constantly blaming his own family for everything ? How old is he…14 ? He’s weak, irresponsible, cruel and is stupidly naive and unaware that he’s also being controlled. If I were part of his family, I’d want nothing to do with him, her or ‘their truth’. They’re a delusional, toxic pair, well suited to the new shallow life he’s desperate to belong to.
