Sherry: What's in a name? As of the end of 2010, Sherry produced here in Australia underwent a name change and become 'Apera'.
The name “Champagne” went through a similar exercise years ago. for commercial reasons!

Good Evening Chewsday!
Another foul, day in Paradise. Rained most of the day; 9C for the best part and hail at tea-time!
Half of Australia is now under lock-downs with VIC extending the current one due to end today by a further week. S. Australia has started a hard one week lockdown from today and NSW of course is leading the charge. That’s about 13mil of us under some sort of lockdown!

rafichagran I don’t get around much anymore, but I would sure wear a mask if I did, despite what the “experts” might say!
Had to wear one today in order to see podiatrist. If ever I needed a home visit, today would have been it,, but that’s another service that’s has gone because of Covid.

TV News today showed you all cavorting about in night clubs and doing a big count down to midnight, as you do on New Year’s Eve at the start of a new era!
You might even be making Wishes as you hug and kiss! hmm
Aveline You seem to be quite a prolific writer. What sort of Christmas book would be for Adults?
Surely Christmas is all about children? Any chance of seeing a chapter or two to admire your style!?
Never tried Rum. seems expensive at my favourite bottle-shop, but I might treat myself when I get my Govt hand-out for staying at home! Dream on, Rufus!
More of the same weather tomorrowtoday and the next and the next! sad
Good Health wine wine wine

Rufus2 the latest story isn't a book. I suppose the magazine wants it for its Christmas edition. They plan ahead! I'm on Valentine's story now.
Your temp sounds blissful. It's boiling here and I'm just not made to be hot!
Our Covid rules and regs wax and wane. I suspect that most of us are just careful no matter what the media whips up to say about it all.
I try to get any jobs done early while it's coolish then lie about like a beached whale the rest of the day. Roll on Autumn.

Hi Rufus
Cant believe how quickly things seem to be changing in OZ after doing so well.
Freedom doesn’t make much difference to us because we can’t get out much anyway and clubbing not on the cards, although I did go to afternoon tea with a Women’s group which had folded during the last months. Worked out I’d forgotten that not one member is under 70 and most over 85!?? Very hot here and everyone was moaning about it, give it a few weeks and then it’ll be where’s our summer gone ?
Our (toe lady) chiropodist only missed a couple of visits last year . Always glad to see her.
I had been trying for ages to get help in the house then four weeks ago everything seemed OK until the latest lady got’pinged ’ on her mobile phone and had to isolate for a while, hopefully back next week.

Hope you are coping well.
Cheers????????

Hello Rufus Very hot today and had thunderstorms. I went out lunchtime from work and got drenched.
I think some posters in here would live your weather.

Hi Rufus, roasty toasty here, just watered the greenhouse and garden. I’d love a storm here, none forecast until possibly Sunday, not that the forecasters are that good at predictions more than a couple of days ahead. MrJ’s birthday today, roast chicken is cooking, I must be mad. Sat in front of our chiller unit which is bliss, such a wuss.
Keep warm and take care ?.
