Good Evening;
My word! You’re not acclimatised to warm weather, that’s for sure!
Your bravado would soon evaporate and not as steam should you happen to pay us a visit in July!; it was 2C this morning, shot up to 12C and now 8C at 11.00pm
And yet hundreds of people are queuing up for hours in their cars at testing stations before dawn!
Signs everywhere advising “Please switch off your engine” Of course that means Air-Con is also OFF. Must be as cold as charity!
Football teams are going berserk flying here, there and everywhere trying to find venues for this weekends games,as the States progressively lower the shutters! Be interesting to see the wash-up of it all!

Aveline You’re a connaisseur of fine wines, only I’ve discovered a box of what looks like fine ones lyiing on the bottom shelf i.e. floor, of a cupboard. They arrived many years ago after Neil’s divorce! He wasn’t going to take them into shared accommodation, so who could he ask to mind them?
They’ve remained untouched all this time Rufus1 and Jessie also came as part of the package.
I’m guessing they’re not plonk because they were “gifts” from customers in the insurance game looking for business! Wouldn’t be allowed now, I imagine!

Megs What happens to you when you get “pinged” on your mobile?
Seems like somebody eaves dropping!

Back to Zooming again! Schools had only
just gone back after the mid-term break and now it’s home schooling again.

I see Brisbane has secured the 2032 Games. Just think! You’ll be able to fly down in a Sir Richard’s special and be back home for tea.; depending how virulent the Covid variant happens to be, of course!

Good Health wine wine wine

Rufus2- I suspect you should drink that wine asap. Not all wine ages well. You could look on it as research. My late Dad used to buy odd cases of potentially OK wine from a wine merchant friend about 50% of the bottles were drinkable but the others were vile. Risk it?

Hi Rufus and Aveline
That’s reminded me of the half a dozen of 5 years +++ Prosecco that I’ve got stagnating in a cupboard
Last year I told DH that it was best drunk ‘when young’, and he said that in that case, he ought to give it a miss smile

I wasn't planning on drinking it, more like giving it away as presents to friends, but thanks for your expert advice grin

I might revise that list of "friends", to avoid potential litigation or I could give it to my friendly Maggies
They might appreciate it in this cold wet weather! hmm

Hi Rufus, warm again here, watched an exciting çricket game last night England v Pakistan. Not sure how well the olympics will play out, seems rather haphazard at the moment, positive tests all over. Still, footie starts again soon, let’s hope Saints have a better season, skin of teeth comes to mind, MrJ was happy with the Leeds performance although their manager, Bielsa has still not signed his contract.
Aged wine, none in this house, I buy weekly, the white, with a decent bottle of red lurking for visitors. In this weather I’m drinking rather a lot of black currant squash with ice! Magpies would probably use the bottle to mug smaller birds ?.
Take care ?

Rufus not entirely sure what happens if you get pinged, mainly (advised!) to isolate for a while. Lot of controversy and people are deleting the app so they don’t get it, in fact my husband doesn’t have a mobile so he wouldn’t know anyway.I do wonder+about eaves dropping.
Cheers ????????
