I got an email today which really amuses me.
It was from Harley Davidson offering me a trial run on one of their motor bikes........
Much as I would like to take up the offer I am afraid I have to say no.
I am only 4' 9" tall, and 84 years old with replacement knees and arthritis. Besides that I dont think I could look good in all the gear that I'd have to wear.
Still, it is nice of them to offer.....

Sidecar?

You’d probably look good in one of their T shirts ?

It makes a change from all those adverts for stair lifts and chairs that throw you onto your feet. I suppose the Harley could be used for going upstairs if necessary....

You could take them up on the offer. Turn up and see what the reaction is?? Could be interesting??

I prefer your offer to the one I received in the post yesterday for Simple cremation !

Oooh I've always wanted a ride on a Harley. Perhaps they'd take you could ride pillion!

Grannybags Sun 25-Jul-21 21:23:54

Perhaps you could ride pillion even... (Not sure what happened there!)

I've had a few mails offering me a penile extension. Bit strange. I've been told I get these mails because I've searched this issue but I can assure you I haven't.

Amazon suggested yesterday that I may like to look at a selection of chainsaws for tree surgery and electric hedge trimmers. No I bloody well wouldn’t!

I have had emails suggesting that I can get my prescriptions made up cheaper from their online pharmacy in Canada than I can get them made up in the US.

That may well be true: however, I am in England. Free prescriptions made up free due to Age exemption. As it happens also delivered free: the pharmacy does not get extra NHS funding but does it as a business decision because the cost of the van and paying the drivers is outweighed by the extra business they get from prescription provision and repeat prescription provision as a result of having a free delivery service as they get business via at least four medical practices even though they are located far from most of them.

My offer to join the army and all the advantages it would bring me was tempting.

I received an email telling me I had won $750,000 in a raffle and all I needed to do was send them my bank details.
