Hope all goes well Marydoll, it must be such a worry for you. Grandmajean my best friend lives on an estate near Schiehallion. It is so beautiful there. There is a lovely cafe in KR and a smashing little gallery which sells art and photos. Rannoch Station has the most amazing tearoom. People come from miles around to sample the cakes. And kids love the salmon leap at Pitlochry.
I’m hoping to visit soon. I usually go three or four times a year but not been since December’19!
As to varifocals, I have Ménière’s disease and they make me even more dizzy! I did try them. So I constantly have the ‘wrong glasses’ on! Nice surprise yday, I won £10 on the Postcode Lottery. At least I know my number is in the draw! Maybe the big one soon!
Getting fed up with all the rain now. Maybe August will be better.
Have a good day one and all!

Son and grandson ( age 9 ) cycled round the loch on Sunday then did the extra mileage to Rannoch Station where they had ice cream. Birks of Aberfeldy today they tell me but , sadly , in the rain. I did it last year in glorious sunshine. Rannoch is their annual "boys'" week !

Apologies for double post, you just can't trust technology! grin

Thank you GMJean, our cats are pretty to look at, but very hard work! They get bored easily, and then there is trouble, somewhat like grandchildren!

Good morning Mick and all his followers. A bit late today but we have been to the podiatrist for DH and then Tesco.
Suffolk is dry with occasional sunny patches but there are plenty of clouds about and we had torrential rain and thunderstorms yesterday. The washing is outside to dry, but on the clothes horse in case of a storm.
Love the cats and the little lad in his own world. Doesn’t every boy need a stick? Our son’s moved with us - he’s 36! It’s now marked for planting onions etc so I suppose it’s my stick now ?
I hope the day is kind to everyone, particularly Kitty at crazy golf and Marydoll

Good morning from East Northants where it is dull outside after a day of intermittent showers, but I am enjoying catching up with Team GB’ s overnight medals. Not much happening today, wishing all with problems a peaceful day. Good luck Marydoll with your hospital visit, and all others whose names I can’t remember who have stuff going on. Lovely photos posted today!

Good Morning all from grey soon to be wet Harrogate. Greyduster we pack so much because we have to be prepared for every eventuality, simple!
Today will have to find out what I am going to do with a load of rapidly going off bananas! My banana bread only uses one - something to puzzle over.
DH has this hospital procedure on Friday but hasn't had a letter confirming it, so I hope we are not self isolating for nothing. When he gets back from dog walking, I will try to persuade him to phone the hospital because they wont tell me anything!
Hope your hospital trip goes well Marydoll
Lovely photo of your DGS, Scentia
I envy your trip to the shetlands, Gelisajams. somewhere I would have liked to go to, but I fear time is passing us by.

Good morning from sunny Sefton.
Our planned GP duty this afternoon is now cancelled as DGC have had coughs and obligatory tests - results pending. I’ve booked to do Tai chi this evening and am looking forward to it.
As always, the photos posted are delightful. That’s a beautiful image of your DGS Scentia.
GG13 ?
I hope all goes well for you today, Marydoll.
Have the best day you can everyone.

All the best for your treatment Marydoll ?

Good morning from a slightly soggy Scottish Borders. Torrential rain last night for about ten minutes. Think we were lucky. Wash on, tea prepped and bread making being considered. Thinking of everyone especially those for whom today is particularly difficult. Ddog and DH drenched. The former quite oblivious but the latter not.

Grandmajean Wed 28-Jul-21 09:03:33

Oh ! B9your cats are beautiful! We had Siamese and Orientals for over twenty years and I love them. Now have a rescued moggy who is great but I miss the voices and antics of my Orientals.
Good luck todayMarydoll

Good morning from Shetland where it’s cool and misty. After our swim yesterday we went for a shortish walk round a different headland where the sea got steadily rougher over the course of our walk.
We met a group of delightful, friendly Shetland ponies who enjoyed being fussed and lots of colourful and patterned Shetland sheep who just ran away as we approached.
Today’s plan is to get a ferry and head north to Yell. The most northerly island is Unst but the ferry there is only running very infrequently as it is a temporary replacement for the regular ferry which is undergoing repairs.
Take care and stay safe everyone.?

Good morning all from home in SW Herts. It is good to be back, cat sitters have left home clean and garden better than when we left it! Cats relaxed about having us home, see pictures!

This is the first day for nearly a month that we have been on our own, and can catch up. DH off to his voluntary work at the Cathedral, and I will pick up with the hospice. Booked the car hire for France yesterday, can always cancel up to the last minute, but we can live in hope.

GG13 will be thinking of you, and hoping all goes as well as you could hope. Marydoll good luck with your long delayed procedure. Take care everyone.

Good morning from a bright and sunny ?Northampton, but showers are forecast this afternoon.

Managed our health walk in the dry yesterday afternoon, but had a really heavy downpour when we got to the cafe, so had to sit inside. Spent an hour over coffee putting the world to rights! Another heavy shower with thunder in the early evening.

I should be going to book club this afternoon, but as the friend who takes me to yoga is also the one who gives me a lift to book club and she is in Majorca on a business trip it looks as though I shall not make it. A 45 minutes walk each way with the risk of heavy showers is not one I wish to take! I have emailed to say I may not make it.

Mick, I have been wearing varifocals for thirty years without any problems; I too have one short-sighted eye and one long-sighted.

I have decided I need to lose the 'pandemic' weight I put on, so I have downloaded the NHS weight loss app - it tells me I need to lose at least 7lbs, but ideally about 10-12lb would suit me. I would like to be able to get into my cruise clothes next year!

Wishing all a pleasant and safe day.

Forgot photo of stick!

Back again, safe journey GG on this sad day. Enjoy indoor golf kitty I won’t mention to MrJ, could give him ideas! muse, go gently on that leg, good luck with MrM sitting still. *Scentia, what a smashing photo, our GS’s stick sits by our front door, photo.
I have washing on, I’ll try and fit in some weeding, first day of coordinating for new voluntary job, a different procedure to learn. I need to ring the garage, my car says ‘oil service due in 23days’ I’ve only done 1200 miles in the last 10 months, might be a new car thing, could read the manual first.
Have a lovely day with all your outs and abouts, hope the ? shines and you spot a ? or ??.

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire where it has rained during the night but it looks as though the sun may find a way through the clouds.
Mick varifocals are great but it may take a little while to adjust to them since you’ve been so used to bifocals.

A sad day for you GG13 flowers
Great photo Scentia.
I hope everything goes well Marydoll

Little pooch is off to the groomer today, she looks like a little teddy bear and must have been so hot for the past few weeks.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day.

Popping back to wish Marydoll all the best for her procedure today.

Good morning from a grey and dull Black Country.

My friend and I drove over to a lovely cafe near Bridgnorth yesterday called The Stables. It is run by an ex-jockey. We sat outside as although cloudy was very warm. Arrived back at my friends about 3.30pm and the heavens opened! So we were quite lucky.

Off to Dunelms today to order curtains for the living room. It is all painted now, and sofa and chair being delivered on 19th August. New flooring down before that. Then need to find a new fluffy rug and cushions!

Wishing you all a good day, with special thoughts of of missing posters

Good morning from a damp S Welsh coast and the forecast is for more of the wet stuff today. Yesterday was warm and sunny for our family visit though our five year old is happy with colouring books and drawing. We enjoyed our meal out and when shown to our table, the little one said " you can sit by me " ?
I hope that your hospital procedure goes well Marydoll I'm sure they will look after you well.
Hope all goes well Granny G ?
Hope that Wednesday is kind to us all.
