Has anyone had difficulty with the NHS app just registering is proving difficult. The security code I got is continually refused. I went off it then back on it later and it’s the same problem.

Good luck with that! I had a nightmare getting registered, partly because my GP practice hadn't switched it on their end. Another year later tried again, but I had to go in and get a code from them to put in. I really hoped they might have streamlined it by now. Try the support desk, www.nhs.uk/contact-us/nhs-app-contact-us/

I have to say having finally got access, it is useful.

I did it was a bit of a faff with taking photos ect as I rarely go to gp.
You must keep in the application process open as you receive your code. If you come out to look at the message containing the code it will refuse it

I didn’t have any trouble but I registered it fairly early on. My husband had more trouble when he tried more recently.

Thank you very much its sorted now but there is no access to basic patient records. I will ring the surgery and ask about that thanks again.

I commented on another thread about this I didn’t have to send photos or anything else and it was very easy and straightforward just nhs number, name, birthdate and password, bingo

You will only see your GP records if your surgery has switched that functionality on.

It’s easy to set up and register. I’ve just moved GP so we shall see how it copes with it.
