Good morning Mick, Annie and all.
Marydoll, I was sorry to read, late last night, that you had been really poorly and not yourself. It sounds as though this morning you are a bit better, any way, fingers crossed for you, and sending a virtual {{{hug}}}
To Grandmattie, please send MrG, my best wishes for a speedy return to full health, and you the strength to cope with the aftermath.
Yesterday I felt I could cope with a bus trip to Reading. Not exactly exciting, but different. We have been looking for a large TV unit, and it seems that it doesn't exist. If I could knit or crochet it, that would be fine. So we ended up back home, only spending on coffee and a cake.
That's unheard of after a visit to John Lewis.
We had been to a local carpenter and joiner, in May, and he said , come back in August, which we did. Seems like a date in Dec or early next year is on the cards. Anyway, he has my scribblings of the sort of thing we are after.
I have started reading Chris Packham's book, Fingers in the Sparkle Jar, not easy going at first, but getting better.
Happy birthday Scentia.
Lovely reading about all your holidays and trips, I am very jealous, as hospital appointments etc make it hard to plan.
Have a good day one and all.
