No they re not top quality but the material is really ok and I get lots of compliments Sizing is not always spot on I agree but they ve all fitted

I’ve bought from Shein. Quality was great although sizing’s a bit hit and Miss.

I get ads for things my husband has looked at and vice versa which could prove interesting.
I get jewellery ads on my Gransnet pages.

I had those ads before I installed Adblocker.

However, all these sites are chinese, and the clothes are almost universally very poor quality. The models are posed in decent quality clothes, but what you get is something else entirely, just cheap rip-offs and of course, getting your money back is a nightmare and frequently unsuccessful.

Personally I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole.

At the moment I have a Belgian ad for bricks, duh, no idea why they would target me.
I get the clothes ones but most of mine are for locally based producers.
Not sure how many Gransnet users also live in Belgium ??????

I agree travelsafar I like the look of the tunics and dresses on these ads.
Maybe some one who produces quality items will take note.

Septimia i agree some of the tunic tops trousers and dresses look so nice and not the sort you get on the high street so something abit different.
Wouldnt it be good if someone M&S took a look at the designs and had them made up in the correct materials and sold them in their shops. Obviously they would cost more but at least you would be paying for what you got.

Someone on here years ago mentioned a very expensive designer shoe brand that I'd never heard of, so I Googled it.

Cue the appearance of ads of the brand popping up for weeks afterwards. Totally wasted advertising costs. I'd never buy anything from an online advert.

travelsafar, I've installed Adblock Plus (it's free) so get no ads at all! Sometimes, an advert-driven webpage (especially newspapers) won't let you read until it's disabled. It's simple to do that, though, just for that page.

And now, since ranting about the inequity of Private Health this weekend, I've got an advert for a company offering to help me jump the queue...

The NHS capacity for surgery is very stretched at the moment, wether it be Scotland, Wales, England or NI, if someone is able to ˋjump the queue ´ by paying extra, on top of their taxes, then it frees up a bed for someone else.

GN don't choose the ads, the companies buy space on the internet and just pop up on all sorts of different sites, depending on the interests of the visitors to that site. When I posted on the thread about horses in the Olympics I started getting ads this week for buying and selling horses and I still get ads encouraging me to train as an HGV driver after I posted on a thread about the shortage of lorry drivers a couple of weeks ago.

This morning I've actually got an ad for a company that will help me target my online advertising to a more receptive audience!

What makes them more annoying is that the clothes look so nice, but are actually poor quality.

You obviously missed my rants on GN and FB ( for which I was banned) that’s FB by the way, not GN.
HQ explained to me why they couldn’t stop the adds. I can’t remember the details, too long ago.
All these different companies you see are in fact one humongous Chinese company.
