Good morning all from a brightish North Leicestershire.

Peace reigns here. Dd2 and daughters have left after nearly 3 weeks. The roof is on their extension so they will be waterproof at least.

Dementia cafe today and then a Sainsbury's delivery.

My brother is still in hospital (week 8!) still awaiting his heart op but now with Covid to add to the mix!

Good morning, everyone, from a rather dreary Torbay!

I, too, am rather lack lustre as DH, olddudders, was taken to A & E late last night by a concerned friend. His back had become so painful that it was the only option. His willingness to agree to go indicated that he was at the end of his tether.

After a Valium infusion and a recommendation for a scan, he was sent home with a prescription which his friend will collect today. All this information has come via WhatsApp texts, exchanged in the early hours of this morning, so please forgive the lack of detail. Your kind comments about his plight are much appreciated

Thank you for the kind comments about my dental marathon yesterday, which seems rather insignificant in comparison to others' suffering. It wasn't as bad as expected, the only real pain being to my wallet!! Beforehand, in the waiting room, I had exchanged a few pleasantries with a fellow patient - both duly masked - before we both realised at the same moment that we knew each other! Another bizarre Covid effect. His wife had been a leading light in our theatre company before moving to the UAE to teach!

I hope those with worries find some relief today, with particular thoughts for Scentia and family. I hope you are not too bruised from your fall, BlueSapphire and that BabyA continues to thrive, Marydoll.

I'm due to be Priscilla Shrive (Victorian poet) at Brixham Museum again this morning; I certainly look like rather a relic today!!

Have a good day, lovely people!

Morning Mick, morning All. A bright start to our corner of Somerset.

Yesterday flew past , a grocery shop, some down time after lunch, yet more catching up generally and a phone call to friends. Today it’s back to the garage with the flipping car before dust removal and a couple more phone calls. My cousin and her husband are here tomorrow so best look tidy.

Sorry you aren’t sleeping grandMattie, it makes for a long and exhausted day.

Take care everyone. Hope Thursday is kind to us all.

Good morning everyone from sunny Severnside.

I’m getting there with my book sort out and found a few other things to go as well. It’s green waste this week so I’ll gather up some weeds etc for the bin.

My tomatoes are ripening off now and I saw a recipe for a sauce I’d like to try.

Have a good day all ?

Grrr ?- couldn’t sleep!

Good morning from a bright E Kent. Been up since 0430 as I cold sleep (again)..
Sounds like your life is easing back to almost normal, Mick. I’m very glad for you.
Market day today. The Guildhall square fills with colour and bustle. I get my flowers and some of my plants there. Probably, gladioli today.
More patchwork and I’m hoping to enlist DH for the annual freezer defrost and sort out. An easy if very cold job. I need to make space for my boxes and boxes of tomato sauce. So much nicer when made with fresh tomatoes ?.
I hope today brings silver linings to you all. Catch a passing flamingo too I f you can. ???????

Good Morning Everyone,
Its dry at the moment here in Brackley but cloudy , so will see what weather will be like later .
Today, my usual trip out to Bicester , I have also been busy selecting some future coach trips.
By what I gather the day trips are taking off with full coaches on some destinations .
Could be a sign as more people are not going elsewhere outside UK due to other countries restrictions that are still going.
My sister and husband would like to visit my niece in Canada ,but are unable to that countries restrictions.
Take Care,
Mick
