You're welcome, Tizliz smile

We've got an order coming on Thursday - I'll take more notice of the receipt this time.

Try again. Thanks to Callistemon for pointing out my error. I was randomly given a Pick, Pack & Deliver Charge credit and an apology - though what for I am not sure

MamaCaz

How strange. I had a Tesco delivery yesterday, and my receipt was the same as usual, and nothing like yours!

Same here.

Yes, it is different to the last one I had - I understand the discounts but the substitution pricing seems a bit odd.

Can you post a photo of part of your receipt (concealing any data that would identify you) so that people have an understanding of what is puzzling you. Or just type some examples here.

I am not complaining about the service and pricing has always been clear before but this is new.

I've just done an order and looked at the email. The order emailed to me seems clearer if anything, offers and Clubcard prices highlighted.

Maybe they can’t employ more people because they are not available for employment. Lorry drivers etc are in very short supply right now. Many of our local supermarkets are having trouble to even fill the shelves due to staff shortages.
We have our shopping delivered by Tesco every week - just had a delivery now - and are always delighted with what we get, including substitutions which we are generally very happy with. Of course we pay to have it delivered , but it would cost more in petrol and our time if we went to the shop and loaded our own trolley. We tried several delivery companies for our shopping during the first lockdown and settled for Tesco as the most reliable and efficient. I think that generally it’s easier to get slots now with all the supermarkets. Maybe it’s time to try a different company if you’re not happy with the service you’re getting.

I got a new type today I never really pay it much attention so am not much help. I think from what I noticed they were just adjusting the price for substitutions.

Callistemon Thu 12-Aug-21 16:41:39

If they substitute with something more expensive they should charge the same price as the item you ordered. If a cheaper item then they charge the cheaper price.
The discounts were shown at the end.

When did the receipts change? We haven't had a delivery from them for two or three weeks and the receipts seemed the same then.

Has anyone had a new style receipt with their internet shopping? The pricing of the substitutions is beyond my understanding and all the other items are shown as discounted prices. I have asked for an explanation but they are, as usual, very busy (why can’t they employ more people?)
