Aww BA I hope you got your glass of wine - sounds like you needed it!
I was in bed early last night so didn’t pop back into the kitchen but I’ve just put the coffee on and there’s warm croissants on the table.
Hope everyone has a lovely day, will come back later ?

(1001 Posts)Here we are yet again,
Happy as we can be...
All good friends and jolly good company.
WELCOME to our very own kitchen in which we celebrate happy occasions and support each other through the difficult times.

Just popping into the kitchen to see if anyone has left a glass of wine for a frazzled soul .......????
You have all been busy kitcheners! I have read all your posts and feeling tired for you all ?. I admire the way you all get on with what’s to be done in often very trying circumstances. I’m sat here with my feet in the foot spa, off to bed shortly. Goodnight lovely Kitcheners, sleep tight x
Susan I’m sorry Henry was upset. Poor little chap has been through a lot. Hope your brother gets on well with his bypass. DH had a triple 20 + years ago. Lot going on for you with your FILs funeral too. Take care.
Sounds as though things are busy in the muse household today. Any leftover cake is welcome here ?
Grandmabatty hope the boy wonder is ok. ? for you.?
soop stop overdoing it. You need to take things more slowly.
We need you in one piece.
Sorry can’t reply to all but I have read everything. Night night dear kitcheners.
Lovely pictures soop, I’d be framing at least a couple. My friend in hospital is feeling better, catheter and drips out, she has the camera down the way tomorrow to try and dislodge kidney stones, gall bladder out in about 6 weeks.
I’ve booked lunch Thursday with the children, GC’s son’s GF and her daughter before they all go back to school, son and brood off on holiday Saturday. Unfortunately MrJ will be working.
I’ll wish you all a good nights sleep, those with small GC’s they’ve had today or gardeners should sleep well. X
Hello kitchen people, had a lovely but exhausting time looking after my little GD today. Her speech is exploding and she copies so much of what I say. But I have retired to bed already as somewhat shattered. Lovely to read of others' adventures and sorry to hear of tribulations. Tomorrow I shall embark on yet another blitz and cleaning session. We have our much delayed annual gas boiler inspection too. And a home delivery from Asda. That is a busy day for us! Take care everyone. Pleased to have found you.
We’ve had such a beautiful warm sunny day here in Inverness I decided to stay home and make the most of the weather in the garden. Lots done but still more to do as always! We’re having a bit of gardening work done with a new path and decking area so we were trying out various ideas for that with tape measure and string!
Hope things get a bit easier for you Susan such a difficult time just now I expect - take care
Well done with getting the jeans Tilly ?
Grandmabattyyou definitely deserve a large ?
There’s a garden here that could do with your attention soop - there is ironing or cupboards to tidy too. You could take your pick. I would bake good things to eat …
Grandmabatty You deserve a glass of wine. Bless all grandmas such as you.
Went into garden, again to "dead head". I must need my brain examining as I cleared another barrow-load of stuff and nonsense. Now, naturally, I'm bushed. I must take after my late father. He could never just tidy around anywhere. He went in, all guns blazing and boy, did he achieve a lot in the process.
Time to log off. My thoughts remain with you all, especially those of you who need a gentle hug.

Muse I've lost my motivation, my mojo be it never just my m!?
Unfortunately the test centre cancelled his appointment and closed early, so dd is stuck. He actually had a nap for an hour! I think that's an indication that he wasn't feeling well though. When he woke, he got very distressed and just wanted his mummy. Lots of crying so I took him home early and he was a bit better. I am having a stand by tea as I've kept him in the house and garden. I might have a glass of wine. It's been a challenging day!
Whoops. GrandmaBatty lost her m.
Hope all goes well for your brother susan. You’re having a very trying time . Sad to read that little Henry was tearful. Perhaps that 1/8 th will increase soon. Did the spa help you yesterday ?
Hope you get time to relax tooSueDonim
?it’s negative Grandabatty
Lots of news to catch up with from worried or tired (or both) kitcheners, with poorly family members, and some of you are just very busy.
I had a small triumph today finding a pair of “short” leg jeans in my Next as they are sold out online. A job saved as I don’t need to shorten them for my little chubby legs.
Making spaghetti Bol and garlic bread this evening - any leftovers I will bring to the kitchen.
Have a good evening soop and everyone. ?
Our posts crossed SueDonim hope you get a chance to relax somewhere quiet for a little while. Enjoy your evening Yiayia. Beautiful pictures soop I am really missing my trips to the motherland, our last visit to Argyll was in 2019. We were there for my birthday and Mr. B bought me a beautiful Sheila Fleet pendant in that lovely jewellers in Oban, near the ferry terminal.
Grandmabatty I’m very grateful for the custard, never seems worth making it just for me, OH not fond. I see you have the magic touch with the boy wonder!
Oh Susan what a time you’re having, try and grab yourself a few moments, my thoughts are with you in the days ahead x
SueDonim you’ll need another break for some peace and quiet ?
Enjoy your supper out Yia, good friends are a treasure.
I’ve cut the grass, hung out the washing, now dry washing, not ironing, got a chicken in the slow cooker and sorted out some dinner bookings for our holiday in a few weeks.
Catch up later all.
Grandmafrench Where you be? You are missed.
Yesterday's haar (fog) was a bit of a lingerer. The fog horns were busy during the afternoon. Then, as if by magic, it lifted. Hey ho! We had a glorious sunset to close the day.
Yiay No cooking! What's not to like. Enjoy your evening with friends.
GrandmaBatty A message for the boy wonder, we hope that you begin to feel loads better asap.
Susan Dear Henry. Us lot are most upset when we hear that he's been in tears. He's such a little trooper.
You will be concerned about your brother's quadruple heart bypass. Then you have the funeral of your lovely late father-in-law to attend. Our best thoughts are with you.
SueDonim I feel your stress. At least you can "retire" to your hotel room when it all gets to be too much.
Hope things go well for your brother Susan take care it’s very hard for you at the moment.
Fingers crossed for a negative test result Grandmabatty.
We had new phones delivered today it’s taken so long setting them up so not much has got done today.Supper at a friends this evening so no cooking.?
Not heard from Grandmafrench for a while hope she’s o.k?
Have a nice evening everyone.
Oh, poor Henry! It’s awful when they are upset like that. I hope your brother’s operation goes well Susan and I hope the test is negative GrandmaBatty
I’m run ragged atm with all the family here - including a 3yo on high dose steroids for asthma ? - and it’s bedlam, so no time to do anything except post a hello to you all!
Oh Susan poor wee Henry. It's horrible when they are so unhappy, isn't it? You are having such a difficult time. I hope your brother's operation goes well.
The Boy Wonder has eaten really well at Grandma's house. No coughs and only the occasional sneeze. His test was cancelled as the centre has closed and the nearest one is at Edinburgh airport so no playgroup tomorrow
Will be good to see Urmstongran back.
Hope the boy wonder is ok batty??
Just popping in to say Henry is back from hospital. He has always smiled through appointments before but was very unhappy today, cried the whole time they were there. His egg allergy has worsened which is upsetting but the dairy allergy has improved slightly so a plan is in place to try and introduce small amounts. He is to have an eighth of a malted milk biscuit per week!
My brother is having a quadruple bypass today and FIL’s funeral this week too so I will probably be back in the kitchen at the weekend when things have settled down.
Will be thinking of you all.x
Good morning lovely Kitcheners, I meant to pop in last night for a catch up but I fell asleep! Will try and catch up with all the happenings later, this kitchen is such a busy place
JaxJacky there is plenty of custard left. Enough for you ?
The boy wonder woke up coughing and loaded with the cold so that explains his lethargy and emotions yesterday. Unfortunately dd has to have him tested for covid just in case. He's not coughing a lot and has no temperature but she needs to be sure. So no fish man today, nor a park visit. We are in the garden.
