Midlands-lived in Brum for a couple of years before returning to be near parents/family.
Feel quite jealous of all you well travelled folk.
I adore France-had a school penfriend from the 60s-in northern France and am still in touch with the family there.

Born and bred in bonny Scotland and my second home would be Tenerife, I love their weather and the friendly people, we used to go there twice a year six weeks at a time and became quite familiar with the place,

We would travel around the island using the local coaches, Get off the bus at a local fishing village, have a delicious lunch with a drop of wine or beer. Bask in the sunshine for a bit then pop back on the coach to go back to our hotel. One day it’ll all come back

Cornwall here - did Ancestry DNA - replied to relative (2% dna), who then found my daughter and daughter in law on Facebook- asked DiL for my phone no!!! She then bombarded me with messages, claimed I was her long lost mother ( I would have been 8 when she was born) and I have been off both sites ever since - so it’s not always so innocent out there

Funny about birthdates. If I think things are suss I give a different false date ,forget and then wonder why they are wishing me a Happy Birthday on some random day!

Geordie lass here, but lived a few places and settled in Isle of Thanet (aka Planet Thanet) in South East Kent, England.
Like some, I don't put out too much info. Thanet covers a fair few towns and small villages.
When you're on any social media just be careful of any information you're giving out. Even in those silly little games that ask for your birthdays etc. You never know where that info is going, or who to, or why!!
If you play the games try giving false dates, just to be on the safe side. If anyone asks for the area you live in, give a generalised area.
There are many reasons people don't want their exact towns/villages known on-line, safety being the most important!
