Are you still working infoman? Now we’re retired we prefer to avoid bank holiday crowds rather than join them!

I’m afraid going out to places at any bank holiday time lost it’s appeal a long time ago. Long traffic queues to get anywhere, some places too full to get into, weather mixed. I’d rather stay local, and choose less busy times to go anywhere else.

I have always disliked BH crowds and once the children were grown up I always opted to work. It was nice to have a day off in lieu when everyone else was back at work.

We avoid Bank holiday trips to local beaches as they are always absolutely heaving. I'm meeting friends in out of the way cafes today and tomorrow as should be quieter then. Enjoy your weekend ?

We have GC’s from Saturday morning to Sunday morning, then eight friends for a Sunday afternoon garden meal. Going nowhere Monday, recovering!

We usually go away but this hotels wanting a very overinflated rate and limited availability it’s off this year
Day trips on BH are not fun

Now that I am retired, Bank Holidays are meaningless, in fact even while I was working they generally disappeared into either a half term, or as with this one, the tail end of the summer holidays .
But for those who don’t mind BH crowds - enjoy!

I have no plans some of us don’t. Enjoy your outings.

The weather is set okay
in others words it should be dry and very little rain is due.
I am just thinking I might not have enough time to do all things I want to do over the three days.
