Going to the gym. Going for a swim. Taking my DGS to various activities indoors that are now too unsafe. Going out for a meal.

Going into shops unmasked.

Freedom something that we all take for granted. I missed going to the rugby club for dinner drinks and the match. Going to Cardiff for rugby weekends away. Going out with friends for drinks or meals when ever we wanted.
I went on a train at the weekend for the first time in nearly two years. There were plenty of seats but some guy sat next to us. I wasn't happy it was too close for comfort for me. On the journey home about twenty young people got on the train not one of them had a mask on. They were all drinking alcohol I was very uncomfortable. I now have freedom much wanted but I couldn't wait to get home.

Not so much now as we can now do the things we would normally do.
Was going away August Bank Holiday but put off due to excessive hotel rates more than covid
Can cause the odd hiccup my husband had a temperature something he would not give a lot of attention to but went for a PCR and has to keep his staff out of the office till negative which he now is

Definitely miss live music. Cancelled so many gigs in 2020-2021. Dont know when I'll feel able to be in a crowded venue again really. Suppose it will just take time.

Agree on the Chemists Cherry ditto the GP’s. We’ve being going to our pub regularly hollysteers not packed out, predominately outside, but lots of chat and banter.
I do voluntary driving, I miss people sitting in the front, maskless and chatting, difficult now as most are elderly, often a bit deaf.

I miss....
Life without covid tests and vaccinations.

Taking pets into the vet without having having to hand them over at the door to vet nurse.

Walking straight into chemist without a face mask or having wait/queue outside chemist if there are 2 people already inside.

Just Normality without the constant covid cloud hanging over our heads.

tippytipsy Thu 02-Sept-21 20:38:31

Being at my pets' sides for vet appointments.
Going swimming.
Hugging friends.

Going to the cinema or theatre. I was on a train for the first time in eighteen months on Wednesday and that was busy enough although everyone wore masks.

LauraNorder Thu 02-Sept-21 20:33:48

Being spontaneous, going out to dinner without feeling apprehensive, opening my front door without wearing a mask just in case.
I don’t think we appreciated the free and relatively secure life we once led.

Going to the gym and having a sauna afterwards.

JaneJudge Thu 02-Sept-21 20:22:21

I've been going to my training twice a month and I find it exhausting now

NotSpaghetti Thu 02-Sept-21 20:20:56

Training in person so you have a genuine exchange of ideas.

JaneJudge Thu 02-Sept-21 20:18:51

going on a proper night out out

GrannyGravy13 Thu 02-Sept-21 20:14:49

Spontaneity

BlueSky Thu 02-Sept-21 20:09:50

Nothing as I’m not very sociable and yet I tested positive for Covid (double jabbed) and still doing mask hands distance etc etc! angry

hollysteers Thu 02-Sept-21 20:00:51

What are the things that spring to mind that you are missing through Covid; small things etc?
Mine is being in a happy, packed out pub or club and dancing at Irish live music meet ups.
