In my case, Benidorm?

Nonsense to say nowhere is more than 52miles from the sea, I used to live in Northamptonshire - 100 plus miles from the sea, a good 2 hour drive each way! Now in N Wales, only 15 minutes to the beach!

I wouldn't go back to anywhere on the East coast. I'm definitely a West coast person (Wales, Devon, Cornwall. Dorset) as I love the rugged coastline and hills. I don't like flat countryside and beaches.

I wouldn't go back to Bradford. My grandfather's family came from there, so I visited a few years back. But so many old buildings are gone and it's best visited on Streetview.

Milton Keynes. Dubai. Both utterly bleak and soulless in different ways.

Blackpool.I used to like it,but I arranged a holiday in a hotel for disabled people when my late husband became confined to a wheelchair.Everything went wrong,he got taken to hospital, got kept in,not really sure why,so I was hospital visiting as well as trying to have some time in Blackpool. We only had a few days together,I had to come back on my own in the minibus,he came by ambulance a few days later.I felt so upset,I had being trying to do something nice for us.Never want to see Blackpool again

The Gambia. We went many years ago. It was beyond awful.
Lanzarote was grim too and Tenerife.

I also was endlessly hassled and followed in Marrakesh. My son bought me a beautiful old necklace for my 60th birthday in a shop deep in the old market there. they wrapped it up and later when I opened it we discovered that it had been replaced with a cheap plastic replica. Of course we couldn't find the shop again. £60 wasted...

New York and Toronto for me, I’d never go back even for free.

I love Gibraltar though, no crime and very clean.

Northallerton,a truly great place to visit and shop. I live fifteen miles away and go once a fortnight, couldn’t do without Barkers store, amazing friendly and first class customer service!!!

South Africa where I grew up. It used to be lovely but is now a crime ridden place where there are about 60 murders PER DAY.

Clovelly in Devon as so steep and uneven cobbled path. Charges to walk through there. Awful place

America. I lived there for three years. I vowed never to return when my plane took off....

Easter Island.
My husband persuaded me in 2007 there was plenty to do and see. We were on our way from Tahiti to Chile and stopped en route for 4 miserable days( overnight would be fine). Very third world with overpriced awful accommodation where we could put our fingers through the damp bedroom wall and such poor sanitation so both of us got food poisoning. We did manage to see the whole island and all the amazing statues BUT trying to eat out was a joke as the island grows nothing and food deliveries are sporadic and I remember an awful meal of grey spaghetti with tinned vegetables!

Gambia.
Constantly hassled every time you set foot outside of the hotel, and on the beach. We took supplies with us to donate to the local school, but that wasn’t enough, they asked for money too.
If you bought something from one beach vendor, the others would surround you and tell you to buy something from them too, the list of reasons not to go back is endless.

In the UK, Skegness, closely followed by Blackpool though I admit I haven’t been to either in decades having been put off them when younger.
Abroad….Agadir in Morocco. A magnificent beach spoilt by constant hassle by the locals.

Great Yarmouth. DH would say the Isle of Wight, we haven’t been there together, we both went when still at school !I have good memories of it though and would like to go back there.

Had a dreadful holiday in Zante. The only holiday I’ve been on where I came back weighing less than before I went. Ended up being ill there, so it has tarnished my view of the place. They were also re-tarmacing the paths and roads, so tar was everywhere. The place was dirty and the resort just horrible.

Can’t agree about the Isle of Wight being horrible- have had some lovely holidays there. The only thing I would say is that The Needles is very over-rated, it’s very commercialised, with not a lot to offer other than gimmicky tourist things. Loved Edinburgh, too. It’s a good thing we’re all different ?.
