That may be so rosie1959 but there is no defending the erosion of the legislation around drivers' hours. I posted about it on another thread this morning. The current easing of the rules is not unprecedented but if it becomes permanent, or the rules are further eased, it is a bad thing. And it is the Government who have to manage this, it can't be left to the industry to police itself. Because all it takes is one driver or operator to cause an accident due to driving long hours and the uproar would be huge. Can you imagine what GN would say?
