Almost Goodnight, lovely Kitchen types
Just wanted to say, hello to dear Panache. You're so good and so kind to drop in and let us know how you are - especially when you are clearly struggling. It's going to take time and you're always going to miss your dear man so very much. I wish (we all wish) there was something to instantly make you feel better and stronger - more able to face the future; but there's not. So, brave lady, you're going to have to carefully put one foot in front of the other and maybe go through your days on autopilot for a while. Try to rest, try to heal, try to engage with friends and outside interests when you can......and when you can't, just be kind to yourself, take some time just for you when you don't have to make any effort for anyone - Until you feel a bit better again. If it helps, don't forget that everyone is thinking about you and your loss and everyone loves you and wishes you well.
Virtual hugs and squeezes from me. Please keep coming back and telling us how you are and if we can possibly help, don't forget to ask. ??
Anno the things that we do, without thinking, and how sorry we feel when we've done them! Are you totally convinced that Grans should be chasing potatoes? Whatever happened to decorum at all times? ?. I bet I'm only slightly less relieved than you that you didn't suffer some serious damage. How lucky was that. I hope you don't feel too shaken tomorrow. But, please take better care of yourself and promise that in future, any vegetables that make a bid for freedom from the boot of your car, will be left to fend for themselves. It's just not worth the risk. ( Do hope that it was the fugitive that got eaten for supper?)
Lots of Kitcheners having fun with little ones. And a lovely new little one - suppose 9lb is not too little. How nice that he arrived with a present for his Sister. Brownie points for him already!
We've had a beautiful day, weatherwise - 25 this afternoon and blue sky and strong warm winds. Perfect for drying laundry and doing housework. I avoided the second option by lurking in the garden and helping DH to shift the remains of last season's logs into the garage. A delivery of new logs will take place in 2 or 3 weeks, so for our very short winter and if it's very cold, we'll be toasty warm, which DH and the cats love. And this afternoon I further avoided housework by collecting some drugs from the Vet; collecting our immaculate, newly-washed duvet from the laundry, and gossiping in the Pharmacie to some locals. It was almost time for a G&T by the time we arrived home, fed the dogs and wrote some mails. So......shame about the housework. Must endeavour to do better - maybe Sunday? Maybe not. I must aim to sweep something - with a glance. That seems to be the tried and trusted Polmont way, GrandmaB - hope your unexpected time with that Toddler person was fun and helped with more job avoidance. Who is it who says, every little helps?
Dentist tomorrow. A longer journey to another dentist where we will get to ride on a tramway and hope to have some success ......and DH won't have to resort to an Oscar winning performance so he can leave without treatment (or even arousing any suspicion or interest!) . We then mustn't fall victim to lunch out - although that would be fun, as we'll be going out to lunch on Saturday with English friends who are over here and visiting their much-neglected holiday home not far from us. Don't want to stray too far from the diet, which is going well.
Lastly, and you're probably not reading this Laura, but I shall miss you lots. Thanks for all the fun and laughter - and well done for having your say. Keep well, keep safe, live your BEST life! xx
Nighty night peeps
And a big hug from me to you all.
