Good afternoon lovely Kitcheners. I’m feeling much better today, thanks all. It was one of those nasty balance/dizzy/sickness episodes that are a legacy of brain damage. It was dull and grey here first thing so I stayed under the duvet until lunchtime. I’m feeling a lot better today after my lie-in, it’s turned into a lovely sunny afternoon with a strong breeze so have hung washing out. Thinking about my next jewellery project, I have lots of ideas and I also have a large stash of pretty cabochons begging to be transformed into something beautiful. Looking for inspiration in Renaissance portraits.

I’m glad the cat food was OK Grandmafrench, a tad embarrassing but at least you know your precious cats can’t have eaten anything dangerous.

Oeuf sur le visage is a look I can identify with too. Over 45 years ago I had to take a day off work to take delivery of something (I think a duvet) from Peter Jones and I had not been given any details except that it was due on a Monday.
I waited in all day, 5 o clock came and went, so just before 6 I rang the store and after a few minutes of sounding off drew breath only to hear a meek little voice say “I am sorry I can’t help you, Madam, I am only the night watchman”
At that point a furniture van drew up outside our flat with…..of course. Oops ☺️
Or there was the time I blew my top at the Life Insurance company who questioned why I had cancelled Paw’s policy.
Answer- he was dead.
Then a very patient woman explained that my own policy was on the same direct debit and I had inadvertently cancelled that too. She was very understanding. ☺️

Dashing off to hairdressers but must pop in here first just to wish charleygirl a very, very happy birthday. Hope you have a good day. I have very fond memories of those happy times when you were our ‘deputy head’ of Miss Doll’s maths class. We all had such fun. ????????????????????? 21 again ???

First, I'm having to do battle converse with a company today about the grouting we are using for the slabs. Opened the tub number 4 this morning to find a solid mass of it ?. All others OK. Photos taken so email next.

MrM is much better, thank you Nannagarra. He is back at the doctors again tomorrow though. He gets about 2 days respite between dressing changes.

Happy birthday Charley and best wishes to all. Many thanks too for your kind words regarding my mother's health. I am crossing my fingers for all residents and staff. The latter have been supremely diligent and I am grateful for their unstinting care of their clients. Despite putting in the "worries I can't do anything about so no point in worrying" pile, I got little sleep.
Grey and dry which means a wash on and shortly to be put on line. Lentil soup made for lunch. Admin to do (or I am ashamed to admit to talk about constantly and actually put off for another day).

Thank you so much for the flowers and Rosie popping in. I had a lie-in today- it was only 7C definitely autumn although thankfully the sun is now shining.
I had a lovely meal out at the weekend, today I may buy a sirloin steak I think.

Yay I’m just off to Guys to have my booster. I remember how excited I was last December to have the first one, I’m even getting excited about the shortish train journey. Might have a look round Borough Market. The kitchen is being refurbished with new doors and drawers so I’m also glad to get away from all that. Enjoy the nice day (well it’s quite nice around here).

Happy Birthday charleygirl from a dull Stockport.
Cleaner today, she has been coming for over 6 months now and I am plucking up the courage to “ have a word”
She is very efficient in the areas she consider important, eg bathrooms but doesn’t see dust on ledges.
She is a lovely woman but a word will have to be had.
My mobility is getting very bad and I can’t do what I would like to do.
Very best wishes and healing thoughts to all not well, waiting for appointments or recovering.
