My late husband played in a brass band, I still have some of his mouth pieces, so can just about manage an odd squeak hear and there.

I have sung it in my head a few times (it sounds better that way! I’m not a singer, but I am quite good at poetry).
It does flow very nicely and has a natural rhythm.
The ‘some people say’ line, I think, needs an extra syllable, so I add ‘they’. (Some people they say)
Also ‘contentment’ is a bit clunky.
Other than that it’s really very good!
Unfortunately, I can’t share the tune that I’ve used! I’d describe it as a bit like one of the tunes that you sing at school.

My neighbour keeps his false teeth in a glass,as hes dosent like wearing them.
I am sure he would let me borrow them,then I could provide castanets.
There is someone in mind with whom I would love to separate from his maraccas,they would make a pleasing sound being rattled in tune.

The man painting my window frames could definitely enhance the wind section. He was also singing along to his 'music'.

Elderly person your poem is beautiful. If one of our talented grans could set it to music those of us not in the wind section could sing it, whilst whimsically walking through the forest in floaty frocks. One of us could film it on our phones then upload it to YouTube. Whereupon, of course it would go viral and we will all be stars. GBT golden buzzer here we come

Oh well aren’t you all very musically talented? I used to be able to play 3 blind mice on the recorder 50 odd years ago so wind section for me please.

I can play a tiny violin. Especially when I'm feeling sorry for myself

DH says I harp on a lot so please bear me in mind if a soloist is required.

I can do a passable rendition of These Foolish Things Remind me of You on the descant recorder……..if you don’t mind the odd squeak!

Maybe the 1812 overture with our combined wind efforts instead of try cannon!
Maybe we could do it on top of mount snowden or somewhere suitably grand. We could all go up in open top bus as money is no object and imagination has no limits.

Does anyone know how it could all be put together and perhaps get on YouTube with some artwork as a sequence of images please?
