Good morning all (again).
Damp and dreary looking here in Essex.

Had a lovely day with the family yesterday and discussed Christmas arrangements. Too soon to think about it really but they like to get organised.

This afternoon I’ll be going to the U3A monthly meeting. A speaker and news of what’s coming up. Sometimes the speakers are really entertaining….. mainly not ! My friend and I sit at the back of the church where there is an escape route.

Wishing you all a gentle day
????

Good morning Mick and all his followers. It looks like a few of you will see the cyclists this week. I hope you pick the dry days!
More rain during the night, but a lovely morning again. I filled the new flower bed with compost and soil and I have laid out my old friends - the plants I moved here. Today I shall check they look right, then plant them, along with daffodils etc. That will be a job well done.
The decorator may finish today or more likely tomorrow and it will be satisfying to get clean and tidy again.
You are early with your puddings BlueSapphire. I am not sure I need to make one this year. How sad is that? There were times when I made three or four.
Well, time for a shower before the decorator arrives. I hope the day is kind to everyone.

Good morning everyone from South Manchester where the sky in the east is streaked in pink and gold. It looks so pretty. No rain yet.

I’ve no plans. Which is nice. Thought we might go for a drive out somewhere but just remembered the petrol situation so best not tempt fate I suppose by using it frivolously! A day of pottering perhaps. Sort out my jewellery and watches. I’d like less. Too much choice is overwhelming so I tend to wear the same watch, earrings etc and the rest just sit there looking at me balefully...

Good morning everyone. Rain overnight but dry now and brightening a little here in N. Bucks.
Enjoy your morning Mick.
DH is off to golf and I am
looking forward to lunch with DD1 today. Don’t often get her to myself so a bit special. She was going on to see DD3 and family but as DGS 2 has Covid plans have had to change.
Thought with all who are troubled or poorly. Wishing everyone a smile in your day.

Good morning from Staffordshire.A much better journey over today.

I’m feeling better today but my voice has all but disappeared.DH probably secretly pleased?Arrived in Stafford and B is still fast asleep.Apparently he has had a dreadful night so we will decide if he is going for his taster session at nursery when he wakes up.

Thinking of everyone with challenges, worries and illness.

Have the best day you can everybody.

Good Morning from the Scottish Borders. It is cold and most definitely Autumn . Yesterday was fine for my outdoor art event which was well attended and a happy occasion. But at the end of my long day the electrician came and spent an hour and a half upgrading my wiring. I think he left before 11pm. He's not finished it yet but he assures me it won't be tonight as another client has a broken shower!.
A restful day would be nice.

Hope you all find some peaceful happy moments.

Good morning all from bright Harrogate
Yesterday DGS arrived like Whirlwind, which is normal for him. Decided he wanted to play with an alphabet jigsaw, then explained it all to me. He loves the
Little pop up tent and tunnel in the garden, which was a battle with the wind - really got my money’s worth buying them from Morrisons 4 years ago. Then jumping on DH’s bed, back to reading. Have got him a learn to tell the time clock for his birthday at the end of the month. Think it will work for him.
DD1 is popping round this am, Will have to see if she would like me to get a similar clock for DGDs Xmas

Hoping to get a wash done today, hopefully to hang outside, though the red sky outside says ‘maybe not’.
Chat to my school friend this am and sister this pm.
I was disappointed either the strictly result last night?
Enjoy the cycling mick.
flowers for GrandMattie and Harrigran
Keep safe, Keep Well everyone

Good morning from a very damp Black Country. It is bright blue sky at the moment, but rain is forecast.

Walking for Health walk this morning, then a meet up with friends for coffee this afternoon.

DD has a decision to make about applying for a promotion at work. She talked to the girls about it, as it would mean that she would be busier and would affect them all. 10 year old DGD said, "As long as you are happy Mummy I don't mind" Then she said "Will it mean more money"? smile

Just watching Rishi Sunak being interviewed. They all manage so well Not to answer the questions directly!

Wishing you all a happy day. With special thoughts to our missing posters.

Morning Mick, morning All from a dry, calm corner of Somerset.

Sounds a good day ahead mick, enjoy it all. After doing nothing at all yesterday must summon some energy today. Need to go to the surgery and do a top up shop on the way back. Later will pick up our younger granddaughter who will unexpectedly spend a few hours with us until her Mum can collect her about 9. Will enjoy her company if not feeding her which can be a challenge. Also need to remind our gas engineer the boiler service seems to have slipped off his to do list.

Thinking of everyone facing challenges today. Hope Monday is kind to us all.

Good morning from Essex by the sea where the sun is about to show it's face.
Hair cut for me this morning then some ironing.
Mick one of the stages of the women's race starts from the beach literally two minutes from us on Thursday. Lots of road closures, no parking from Wednesday afternoon. We are going to go and watch the start of the race on Thursday morning. It all sounds quite exciting. Enjoy your day today.
Have a great Monday everyone xx

BlueSapphire Mon 04-Oct-21 06:57:05

Good morning everyone from a still dark damp-looking Northampton. Up early today as it's yoga this morning and I need to be ready for my lift.

Planning on making my Christmas puddings when I get back today; thought I'd get the ingredients needed for puddings and cake last week; the only thing Sainsbury's didn't have was currants, but I can make the weight up with other dried fruit instead.

Hope you enjoy the cycle race, Mick; DH and I always used to go and watch them whizz by when they came through Northants; one year they were within walking distance, and another time passing through a nearby village. Blink and you'd miss them!

Hope Monday is kind to us all.

Ashcombe Mon 04-Oct-21 06:20:52

Good morning Mick and everyone from a quiet, fine Torbay. Sounds like a special morning, Mick. Enjoy!

Although I brought tins, pasta, rice and wine from France, I will need to visit Lidl this morning for fresh items. Later, I’ll return to my “Move It Or Lose It” class. I expect that will be a struggle!!

I hope this is the start of a good week for everyone. ?for harrigran and ??for grandMattie. ?????

Michael12 Mon 04-Oct-21 06:07:33

Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark with signs of rain here in Brackley this morning.
Today , for me a busy one , I have an hospitality ticket to see the start of the first stage of the women's tour of Britain cycle race which starts today in Bicester , so early bus , and see all the pre race formalities such as presentations of teams c/w a continental breakfast.
I am planning on going to Banbury to see race finish there , with buses ,and later watch the highlights on TV .
Take Care,
Mick
