Help! The old kitchen door is locked. I'm wandering hither and thither like a lost soul. Has a new kitchen been opened please? I hate being this side of the door.

Susan56 Fri 22-Oct-21 13:02:38

soop, I am sure DD will have pictures of Ollie.Thank you so much.Matilda would be delighted to have a portrait of Ollie?

soop Fri 22-Oct-21 12:43:26

Susan56 Matilda and Henry will be very sad and lost without Ollie. Do you have a recent photo? If so, I will paint them a wee portrait in memory of their furry friend.

muse I'm thrilled to hear that your daughter has a light at the end of her gloomy tunnel. Justice will be done. Thank goodness. You've been through a tough time with one thing and another.

Jax How bloody frustrating that Imogen's scan results have been delayed. Your daughter will be stressed. Her stress will no doubt be catching...try to take things easy, if at all possible.

annsixty Keep warm and I trust that your new curtains will help to put a winning grin on your face.

Blossoming Enjoy your visit to the hairdresser. I have an appointment for Tuesday.
Mr Soop had his hair/beard/eyebrows trimmed this morning. I swear that he appears to have grown younger. wink

Who mentioned a Mars bar? I would be in seventh heaven if I had one in the fridge. Although I am also trying to cut back on the chocolate treats.

Big envelope delivered, containing all the info in readiness for the private hospital overnight stay and procedure earmarked for three weeks today. £3450...my eyes are watering but Mr Soop insists that we need to bite the bullet. He will be staying overnight in a nearby hotel. Another £100 vanishes into the ether.
The NHS is a wonderful thing. Only now do I realise how many thousands of pounds worth of treatments I have been fortunate enough to have been given without having to sign a cheque.

Just popping in briefly to say my friend died peacefully early this morning.

It’s always heartbreaking to lose a pet!
I’m off to try and bake a banana loaf.
Next week will be a baking frenzy with dgc coming. One wants fruitless scones, the others chocolate sponge cake.
The fruitless one doesn’t like dried fruit, nuts, butter or cream! Weird child

Jaxjacky Fri 22-Oct-21 11:20:30

On no Susan56, heartbreaking for them ? for a timely parental return.
Galen you clever stick and Grandmabatty I have no Art within me, I have tried over the years, just not there, I’m always amazed at other’s creations.
I hope you’re feeling a bit better today annsixty this so called super cold is hitting people hard, are the curtains up and filling you with joy?
Good news for your DD muse worth the time taken, but it sounded like unnecessary slog, I hope she feels vindicated.
Not good news for your friend SueDonim, I’m very sad to hear things are really not good and so quickly ?.
Thank you for your commiserations re Imogen’s appointment, she will saunter through it all, it’s DD I’m watching like a hawk, as a single parent, very indépendant too, I’m ready to catch if necessary. I followed her up this morning as her car has its overdue MOT.
I had a lousy nights sleep, even though I was very tired, dinner seemed to lodge in my tum and it was bathroom at 2:30, MrJ was fine, slumbering away!
Enjoy Friday all x

Blossoming Fri 22-Oct-21 11:15:12

Good news indeed for your daughter muse, I hope he pays up! Hope you’re able to see your family as planned.

Well done for staying on the wagon Urms and enjoy the sugar rush.

That’s so sad Susan, a hard lesson for the children to learn.

I’m off to the hairdresser after lunch, have a good Friday dear Kitcheners.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 22-Oct-21 10:21:38

Oh no Susan56 your GC will be so upset, our pets really do become part of our families.

Susan56 Fri 22-Oct-21 10:09:46

Suedonim so sorry to hear your friend is so ill?

Jax, fuming on your DD’s behalf that Imogen’s scan results weren’t with the consultant?hope they get the results very soon.

We have just heard that Matilda and Henry’s kitten has been run over and killed. We are at their house today looking after the children.Henry doesn’t understand where his pal has gone which is upsetting in itself but Matilda is going to be heartbroken when she gets in from school. We have a Halloween party straight from school so hopefully mummy and daddy will be home from work before we are and M goes looking for Ollie?

Thinking of you all and special thoughts with our missing kitcheners?????????

Urmstongran Thu 21-Oct-21 22:18:05

It is Blossoming. I know. I’m rubbish. It’s just that when I climb on the wagon for a few days I always crave sugar. I don’t usually bother with sweet stuff. The Mars are in the fridge for the grandchildren really. Lucky me.
?

Blossoming Thu 21-Oct-21 22:09:11

Is that part of your healthy eating plan Urmstongran?

Grandmajean Thu 21-Oct-21 22:06:57
