I should say, that I am unsure if UPS takes in USPS stuff in the UK. They do deliver items from the USPS here in the US some times.

Also:

USPS - United States Postal Service - a non-profit government agency that delivers mail and packages, drives white vans with red and blue stripes

UPS - United Postal Service - a for profit corporation that delivers packages only, drives brown vans

USPS doesn't deliver within the UK. Anything shipped from the US via USPS will be taken in by the Royal Mail or UPS and delivered.

So no, the USPS would not have a failed delivery in the UK.

We are having issues with this as well here in the States. UPS (United Parcel Service ) is a corporate concern and is notorious about being “unable to deliver..no one at home”. Just this week I had this happen twice….both times I had been home all day. They wanted $7.00 for me to pick up the packages at their location. I adamantly refused and they waived the fees. I have begun double checking to make certain online orders will not use UPS for my orders. USPS is the United States Postal Service and to the best of my knowledge does not deliver in the UK.

I ignore them but must admit to a moment of confusion when we were expecting a delivery

UPS are brown vans and around quite a lot.

You don’t lose anything by contacting them.

Just don’t contact them via the scam email!
I have had deliveries from UPS too, but not many. I have had the US postal service email too. But there are people who fall for all this, or the scammers would have moved on ages ago.

I've had 'UPS tried & failed to deliver your parcel' hmmm, I can't say I've ever seen a UPS delivery van in England.
I won't say there aren't any, but I ignored it as had they really tried, I would have answered!

I have had several deliveries by UPS (Gudrun Sjoden) and I see a lot of the vans - nearly as many on the roads as DPD who deliver my dog food- and I have had a “tried to deliver your parcel” card but never a request for payment. (The Hermes man knows to put anything behind the large hydrangeas by the front door, bless him.)
Hermes and Royal Mail both state categorically that they never charge for redelivery.
We just need to keep our wits about us

I’ve had couple from Hermes asking for payment for redelivery, ignore them.

I've had deliveries from UPS. Not often but this has been for higher value items like a mobile phone and a laptop.

United States postal service saying unable to deliver YOUR parcel.
Will be redirected if you pay three dollars.
Similar to the Royal Mail scam
If you ain't expecting a parcel,
no one is gonna try and deliver one.
