My three sons call me in order of oldest to youngest, Mummy, Ma and Mother.
My daughters-in-law address me by my first name, which I like.
DH calls me by first name and
refers to me as Mummy when talking to our boys.
DGC call me Nana at the moment, they are still little.

My MIL had a pet name that I used then her Christian name, married name and gran and Mum.
I'm rarely referred to by my Christian name by my husband. I have to 'remind' him of it now and again.
I cant remember the last time I heard my gc use any name for mesad
I loved hearing my Dad use the shortened version of my name, but he's been dead for sometime.

The name dds have used for me for many years does produce very puzzled looks in anyone who hasn’t heard it before. Sons in law just use my first name.
Dh and I have daft names for each other.
Even our dog had a daft nickname! Came in very handy for passwords, since I doubt that anyone would ever guess it - it’s not even a proper word.

I get called the usual, mummy, mum, ma and gran but I definitely want my husband to think of me as “she who must be obeyed”!!

Just Mum /Nan or my given name
In laws call me by my given name

If I’m sending a joint missive I just sign it as Mum. They know who I mean. grin

All my family call me either mum or Nana
Friends and neighbours call me by my first name.

I have a collection of designations in certain circumstances too. On collective documents like cards, I simply write down the various relevant initials and a separate kiss under each one. Sorted.

My DH has three names for me but the main one is Blossom but that's not my actual name.
Brother shortens my name. Always has done. No one else calls me that.
2 GC, who call me mamma and grandma
Mum to both my children.
Everyone else calls me by my full first name.

Looking at this thread seems like we are morphing into a set of initials. smile

I get called 4 variations of my given name, plus Mum, Grandma and Baba from the DC and DgC.
Plus, of course, Mrs MamaCaz.

My elder brother even needed to ask my parents quite recently what my 'proper' name is!
(Not that that's too surprising. He wanted nothing to do with me as a child, and that has never really changed.)

Never thought about this before. My first name is short and always remained the same with family, friends and DH. The children mammy living in the north mummy in south, now mum. Sil my first name. My maiden name was my father's nickname at school.
At work, I was Mrs.... and first name with colleagues Out with my husband Mrs. ...or used to be Mrs, Dr. .,...... then my first name.
Some grandchildren call me grandma and DH grandad the others grandmaw and grandpaw or gramps for both they live abroad.
Nephews and nieces always my first name probably aunty when tiny.
Behind my back, the mind boggles!!!!

I think I’ve morphed into “ Gran “
Now that we are getting out and about I hear people calling me by my own name ! Nice to hear
I started of as Mrs … s wee girl , became S…. s sister then Mrs Jim !
At the various clubs I was Mrs O , but now in my dotage I have finally become Me ?

I have just sent an email to the rest of my immediate family, DS & family, DD, DH.

I signed it off with 5 names. DDiL calls me by my first name, Son calls me Mar, DD calls me Mummy, DGC call me Grandmar and DH and I use pet names.

In other circumstances I am Mrs Monica.

Do other people end up with this collection of names or are the family in agreement over what your name should be?
