Ask Mr Google about them. Look carefully for the care instructions . They are not entirely care-free & if you go away for any length of time u need to wrap them in cling film to stop them absorbing moisture. If they absorb, they will puddle on yr best furniture. Take care!

I've got two, they give off a very pretty light. They certainly don't do any harm! In the midst of modern furniture, new carpets and furnishings, all full of fire retardent and noxious, carcinogenic chemicals and off gassing laminate, a salt lamp is nothing if not benign.

Absorbs, rather than attracts.

Salt is hygroscopic - it attracts moisture fro the atmosphere.

I dislike them because of the colour and the nonsense about the special benefits but we were given one ages ago by a family member and OH put it in his dressing room. Last week he noticed a small puddle had gathered under it so it has now been consigned to the bin. My house is not damp so I cannot explain the puddle. It has ruined the table it was sitting on.

Lovely warm glow, not lively ?

I agree, they look pretty when lit, giving a lively warm glow but I’m not convinced by the supposed health properties.

They are very heavy, by the way.

I have one, I do not believe the health claims but it gives a lovely glow to a room and looks good when it is off.

They are lovely Meg I have one which is a metal basket filled with pieces of Himalayan rock salt ( pink) looks good turned off but when switched on glows orange. It’s on the hearth and looks like a small fire, so very cosy.
I don’t give much credence to health claims but it looks great.

Anyone got one of these? Thinking of Christmas presents!
Not sure if I believe in their ‘magic’ properties. Are they like chrystals?
