I find a really good cup of tea only comes along every now and again. The others are lovely, but sometimes I just make one that's exceptionally delicious. I think it's to do with how long you leave it to stand, the amount of milk you put in and of course the cup.

Why do I always get stuck behind a tractor on a narrow road or someone who can't drive at more than 20 in a 50 zone?

Mine usually claims "I wasn't sleeping, I was just resting my eyes". Aye, so that would account for the snoring then...

It's a well known fact that lost socks reappear as tupperware lids that do not fit any container you possess.

And why is there nearly always a vegetable peeler (lost) in the bin after OH has used it?

Why does the phone ring, or the doorbell, just when you are about to serve a meal?

My dh can’t sneeze without at the same time yelling loudly enough to wake the dead.

And despite having a degree and a professional qualification, he apparently can’t read - when it comes to supermarket labels, anyway.

Hence a joint of pork when I’d clearly written ‘gammon’, and on a separate occasion, pork mince, when I’d clearly written ‘beef’.
Cue, ‘I thought it was gammon/beef!’ both times, with the hurt, injured face.

But I wouldn’t swap him, he’s not a bad old b*gger really. ?

How can someone remember every hit and hole configuration on a golf course but need a list for two things if they go to the shops ?

My first cuppa has a half spoonful of brown sugar in it, my dear mother always said 'you can't run an engine on an empty tank'. I thoroughly enjoy it but I don't have sugar in any other of my many cuppas during the day.
