Hoping no-one else has done this.
We need to get things organised for soop's return.

Thank you for flowers and love all the lovely people who sent them to me. They cheered me up.
Glad you’re feeling better Urmston, and incidentally, I started to write my Christmas cards today too.
soop it was lovely for you to receive real hugs, they are such a comfort when things are not great.
Glad you’re feeling brighter, Urmston.
BA. I lost my sister, too, in 2019.
Have fun, Granmarie! My US son is spending Thanksgiving in Hawaii. It’s all right for some.

The presents got wrapped last night, I can report, but no mulled wine, because I haven’t bought any and didn’t have the means to make it! Ah well. At least the presents are ready to go with us on Wednesday.
I bobbed about in the village today, posting parcels, picked up cat meds from the vet (£££ ?) and dropped off the decluttered books at a local charity that has regular book sales. Lots of small things but it feels good to have got them done so it was a satisfying day.
kitty, I had some cards left over from last year and made a note of where I'd put them. Now...where's that note? ?
I've had the cold that keeps on giving for the past ten days though it might be yielding a little bit now. However, when I think things are improving, I have an almighty coughing fit. My ex once told me that I coughed too loudly. How does one cough quietly? I also have a thoroughly embarrassing sneeze
I used to take my Christmas cards on our October half term holiday and write them on the balcony in the early mornings looking at the sea!
I'm fairly sure I have bought some Christmas cards - I must find them
I've only just starting buying Christmas cards Urmstongran, let alone write them.
The only time I wrote them in November was when I was very pregnant and very well organised ?
I rarely pop into Soops ( I was banned once for eating all the date and walnut cake)
however having looked in tonight I see that Urmstongran hasn’t been well
and that
Soop is having a really rotten time healthwise
I hope that something can be done about it.Isn’t getting old a bugger?
I know Blossoming! But I was sat down. And all I had to do was pick up a pen so I didn’t find it too energetic.
?
BladeAnnie ??
Very happy to have MrJ home last night, all went as well as it could, within the envelope of his family, it’s so good to have him back.
Sounds promising Urmstongran, you’ve made me think I need to get our cards done too.
Grannmarie you should be with your family now, enjoy. And * Blossoming* that sounds a joyous day for you, doing, not resting limbs ?.
We’re both tired, adrenalin leaves it’s mark, bidding you all a pleasant evening. X
Urmstongran whatever happened to the #lazygran training?? Christmas cards written in November!!
Good evening lovely Kitcheners. Today has been a good day, very bright and cold. We did a little more pottering in the garden, then I left Mr. B to the heavy stuff while I got on with some laundry. I made murgh makhani (aka butter chicken) in the slow cooker, spent 10 minutes on my exercise bike, then needed to sit down. We live in a 3-storey house, so every day includes a certain amount of stair climbing, which I’m told is good for the glutes
The foot is behaving itself well so far
Until tomorrow TOYA
Soop, I second Feelingmyage's suggestion and also contact your MSP
‘Evening All’.
So glad to say I feel I’ve turned a corner. Yay! Still resting but so much better. I decided to start writing my Christmas cards! Never begun them so early! I sat at the table and did more than half, put on stamps and set them aside to post next week. I plan to do the remaining ones by Friday. Me, ahead of the game. It’s unheard of!
#lazygran
Usually the cards start arriving here the first week of December, gathering pace mid December with me feeling more and more guilty that I’ve not set to.
Regards to all in the kitchen.
Mrs. Smug
Good Evening kitcheners. A very frosty start for MrM and myself today. The car needed a good blast of heat before we set off for the hospital. CT scan complete and MrM is now hoping all the tests show he can go ahead with his hernia operation.
Turkey Thanksgiving dinner with your family in such a lovely city! How exciting Grandmarie. Hope the flight went well.
Love the baby news on here.
I'll raise a glass with you too, to your sister BladeAnnie.
Wishing you lots of onwards and upwards Urms.
To soop and all regular and occasional kitchen visitors, have a warm and cozy evening ?.
BladeAnnie sending ?
So pleased you got a walk in today soop and the gentlest of hugs too ?
Enjoy raising your glass to your sister ba, and the happy memories it evokes.
Glad you had an enjoyable walk soop. I bet the hugs were welcome if it was anything like as cold as it is here.
We watched Kevin Sinfield run through the village today. He is raising money for MND - a dreadful disease currently being endured by one of DD2's friends. He was a champion tri-athlete in his mid 30s when he was diagnosed. So, so sad!
Good evening all, a lovely red sunset tonight closing a crisp wintry day.
bladeannie ??
urms Hope you are on the mend.
The days are flying past yet I seem to achieve little, however I have managed to plane half the spring bulbs. Lots of folk stop to chat it I am in the garden and it makes the task sociable. Chicken is in the oven and I have a good book.
soop. I send positive vibes in your direction. I’d write to the Scottish Minister for Health (very handsome) if you can find the energy. ? sending you a fairy with a magic wand.
BladeAnnie Hold tight to your precious memories.
Gentle healing hugs for all of you who need them.
We walked a short distance through the village this morning. I was hugged (for real) twice over. A little kindness goes an awfully long way.
Night night.

A sad memory for you BladeAnnie. ?. I've just woken from a nap I didn't mean to have. I had fun with the boy wonder today after playgroup. Then a cuddle with baby boy when I took his big brother home. Tonight I'll have chicken in mustard sauce with asparagus, broccoli and peas. There may be mashed potatoes too. Have a good evening Kitcheners.
Bittersweet anniversary today BladeAnnie but raising a glass in remembrance tonight is very fitting. ?
Any meal with salmon and broccoli in has to be tasty doesn’t it?
We’ll be having a chicken casserole.
Hi to soop and all kitchen peeps. I hope Urmston is feeling “on the mend” and it would be lovely to see Grandmafrench pop up in the kitchen sometime soon.
We need all the friends we can summon up as some of our ‘grans’ are going through hard times. ?
Good evening dear kitcheners ?. Grannmarie safe travels ?✈. Urmstongran feel better soon ?. Nothing much to report from me other than starting work at the dining room table at 7am so I could finish and help DD1 this afternoon only for her to text me at 7.30 saying "don't get up early mum"..... ??. Salmon and broccoli pasta bake tonight - we've never done it before - a bbc good food recipe ?. Hugs to everyone feeling a bit below par and of course to dear soop ?. A year today since my sister lost her short fight with ovarian cancer so I think I will raise a glass to her tonight ??
Woop woop! Grannmarie I'll be waiting outside in the taxi.
Just popping back to say thank you so much to all you lovely people for the good wishes for our trip tomorrow. I'm in bed but I can't sleep, too excited/ nervous! I've got my Pukka night time tea and Night time Rescue Remedy, but I'm afraid I'll oversleep so I've set Alexas upstairs and downstairs, also Google alarm on my phone, out of reach, to make sure I have to get up!
TOYA, NNGB.
