I love your sleepy Duncan Bladeannie, have a nice meal with your friends. Sorry to hear about your gd Grandmajean and I hope the rest of her family will be alright, this new one is spreading quickly. I am still wrapped in my blanket muse. I wonder if Cornwall will be as cold as Manchester, wrap up warm. I cant imagine the size of your iron mountain GrannyGravy. there are only two of us but I do my daughters laundry sometimes which makes a small mountain. I was reading about your troubles soop for a while before I joined and I hope it gets sorted out, it should never have got this far. Good luck on Friday.

Soop's wonderful, warm and welcoming kitchen
(1001 Posts)Hoping no-one else has done this.
We need to get things organised for soop's return.
brook DD and grandson negative PCR’s, phew. But show DD was going to see in London with her friend, Moulin Rouge, is cancelled, they’re trying to arrange something else. Good luck with yours, if positive, stays mild.
Have a yummy meal BA.
I did a drive this morning, had lunch with a friend and was supposed to get my ears de waxed, guess who’s appt is actually in January ? also did phones for voluntary work, it’s been busy.
With you on the ironing Charley MrJ has the shirts that need ironing, so he irons them, I’m wrinkle free ???.
A quiet evening planned.
That’s good news jax one less thing to worry about
A bit of a disappointment about the show though , I hope something else can be rearranged
I really really wish that I could get into a bed with un-ironed bedding but I cannot. I have stopped ironing tea towels though .

That was all that showed on the I'm on' list and sounded so intriguing, GrannyGravy, that I had to investigate further
Soop's fund is at £11,654, which is wonderful, but I'm rather concerned that it has stuck at that all day. Do so hope for some movement soon. Keeping my fingers crossed for Friday's meeting with the surgeon Soop.
calistemon ? now that’s a thought for a new thread!
Thanks for the update Aldom
I confess to actually quite enjoying ironing (I love ironed sheets and duvet covers and cannot wear crumpled tee shirts ?)
Well, having had a buggeration of a year, I am thinking about getting myself a ‘new’ car! I feel rather ooo-er because it’s a big spend but I reckon I deserve it!
DDog will have more room and DH will have to sit and be quiet (fat chance!) Previous little car isn’t comfortable for long journeys, I won’t drive DH’s car because he criticises my driving nonstop (retired driving instructor ?), and I really need something a bit higher.
DDog and I have got thoroughly buffeted by the wind today, so chilly. At least I have warm feet with wearing walking boots, now need to assemble appropriate hats, gloves, scarves and find a warmer coat..... Here is Annie looking elegant, not her usual upside down on her back pose ?
Whew, I’ve just caught up with Tuesday and today’s posts and apart from falling in love with*BlueBalou*’s lovely dog I can’t remember which ones I wanted to comment on. Galen of course because, just ouch so much, bruised ribs were bad enough. Everyone else who is poorly or worried about results and family, and there seem to be so many of us at the moment, I hope that things improve soon. Welcome to EnaSharples too. That black and white photograph brought a lot of memories, so thankyou to the person who posted it.
I’ll pop in again soon, those mince pies are too good to resist.;
It's been a day of coming and going and visits to various appointments. New hearing aids are wonderful. I can hear the clock tick tocking.
BlueBalou Annie's photograph has been saved. I shall pain her portrait, as a gift, once I've painted *Melissa's granddog. It may not be until after Christmas. I always keep a promise.
For all of you with health issues, keep taking the best possible care of yourselves. Health is wealth. I'm certain that all agree.
Until tomorrow.

She is so beautiful , Bluebalou I am a sucker for people's pets !
Today I took my 87 year old friend for her 3rd appointment in 2 weeks and it was confirmed that she has breast cancer and needs a mastectomy. It was so good that they have booked her in for 20th so are taking swift action. Once again thank heavens for the NHS. On the other hand another friend in her late 70's has had an op to remove a non-malignant growth in her brain cancelled for the 3rd time. I do also have friends without surgical needs! I am just hoping to stay (relatively) healthy for as long as possible.
Wishing both your friends the best possible care and successful outcomes singingnutty ?
Good evening lovely Kitcheners. I’m struggling with fatigue at the moment but have managed to do everything I needed to do today and keep up with my exercises. I hope your friends both have a good outcome singingnutty. Thinking of soop’s earlier comment ‘Health is Wealth’ is so true. I can’t regrow my damaged brain cells or change my ancestors to avoid the hereditary disease, but I can change my lifestyle to improve my balance and fitness, prevent falls and avoid diabetes. So those are the things I will work on. My eyes keep closing now, so I’ll say goodnight and TOYA.
‘Evening All’.
A busy busy day here. Goodness. 4 hours at the hair salon ? (good job she’s an amazing stylist & I love my new ash blonde) then home, goulash to make - in the oven on a peep, off to meet the grandchildren from school, sort their tea, home again & friends from Bolton over. Drinks up the road, a meal & coffee here. Wonderful but I’m cream crackered now.
BlueBalou what a gorgeous young lady sitting on one of her many beds-so alert.
I have offered Duncan, BladeAnnie's cat a short holiday but he has declined.
Annie would receive all of the love and affection she deserves. How old is she?
Thank you, she is gorgeous isn’t she? Annie’s 11 months old, a Romanian rescue from a kill shelter, we’ve had her for nearly 6 months. She was terrified of everything when she arrived but is doing very well and a real poppet. She likes being a lap dog and her best friend is a big Basset hound.
Lovely pictures of the pets. Our last cat died two years ago, and through the lockdowns and Covid times, I’ve missed him. Our daughter’s dog Callie lived with us for six months this year, but then she went to join her family in New Zealand. Here she is enjoying the beach near their home. She’s a lovely dog, very sociable and friendly.
Good to hear about the negative PCRs Jax. I hope your’s comes back negative too Brook.
Fingers crossed for Friday soop, not long to wait now. I hope the fund keeps growing.
Hoping for the best outcomes for your friends singingnutty.
BlueBalou Annie's previous life does not bear thinking about but she has found her "forever" home now and looks very well settled.
My previous cat used to jump when he heard the noise of a kettle so you can imagine what he was like when he saw and heard a vacuum cleaner. Food supplied twice daily was also a new concept so God knows what he endured for his 2 years before he took over my previous house and then this one when I moved.
It is so cold today- I should write more Christmas cards- I have managed 5 so far. The heart is not in it.
TOYA
Dearest you lovely lot, we are away shortly to the dentist. I hate such appointments. Although they are of the utmost importance and without them, goodness only knows how teeth would last as long as they need to.
I shall report back to you and hope to catch up early in the afternoon. Stay safe. X
Good morning dear Kitcheners. The sun is shining at last, the storm seems to have passed. We are clearing up in the garden and have stopped for a coffee break.
Charleygirl I’m feeling the same, no cards written yet, I just can’t feel it this year somehow.
We’ve decided not to have a Christmas this year, it’s been such a horrible 18 months I just want 2021 to be over.
I am very much looking forward to a new start next year, the house goes on the market Boxing Day, we’re hoping to move to the west Wales area, somewhere between Cardigan and Machynlleth and will go house hunting the end of February hopefully ?
Daft dog was cosy last night!
BlueBalou no pillow for her head or blanket over her? I will be informing the RSPCA!
She does look rather comfortable. There appears to be plenty of space there for me.
