Hoping no-one else has done this.

We need to get things organised for soop's return.

‘Evening All’.

It’s quiet in the kitchen tonight.
Mind you, I think it’s ‘Strictly’ for some.

But it’s also sad in here his evening.
Dear soop we cannot even imagine your disappointment. No, that’s too weak.
‘Devastation’ is probably more apt.

You were so very hopeful that this surgeon would be able to offer you an end to your suffering. Apparently this is not to be. Life can be very cruel sometimes. Your friend raised your hopes and you were joyous in your expectation. It is not to be.

I hope tonight you howl away your angst in the dear company of your wonderful and supportive man. Tomorrow is a new day. Captain Tom assured us it will be a better one. It’s what we all fervently wish for you dearest soop. What you wished for is not to be - but remember, where there’s life, there’s hope. xx

Pleased soop is home safe with her man.

kittylester Sat 13-Nov-21 19:12:22

It's good to know that soop is back with MrS - I hope he can restore her good spirits.

Kalu Sat 13-Nov-21 18:13:49

A heartfelt offering and so apt. Baggs sums up too how we all feel. So disappointed this is not the positive outcome we all and Soop hoped it would be.

Charley. Soop was discharged and preparing to leave hospital when I spoke to her this morning. Sadly not enough time to visit but the other side of the coin meant a journey home during daylight hours and a relief to know she is safely home with her wonderful Mr. Soop.

Marydoll Sat 13-Nov-21 18:05:53

No visitors, due to Covid restrictions here.

I have developed Labyrinthitis, in bed all day. I will be missing in action for a few days. Nothing sinister, about my disappearance.

So pleased to hear soop is home, thanks baggs. Definitely sending as many comfortable vibes as possible and I hope soop has a comfortable night with mrsoop right there beside her

Charleygirl5 Sat 13-Nov-21 17:44:11

Pleased to hear you are home safe and sound. You need a good meal, a glass or two of something and an early night. There is nothing like your own home and bed with Mr. Soop taking care of you.

Aldom Sat 13-Nov-21 17:21:58

Good to hear you are home Soop, but so sorry the surgeon was unable to help you. I can imagine your disappointment. Kindest thoughts are with you. flowers

dragonfly46 Sat 13-Nov-21 17:03:32

Thank you Baggs let her find solace with MrSoop.

baubles Sat 13-Nov-21 17:00:13

Very apt Baggs.
Tears have been shed for our dear Soop.

Baggs Sat 13-Nov-21 16:58:18

Just reporting that soop is home. Please send all the comforting vibes you have spare in her direction.

Baggs Sat 13-Nov-21 16:05:52

With kind thoughts for all kitcheners who suffer, I submit a mangled offering, with apologies to Tennyson:

Tears, angry tears, I know fine what they mean,
Tears from the depth of some irate dispair
Rise in the heart and gather to the eyes,
In thinking on the wretched last attempt
To cure our Soop of what has plagued her so….

jax sending you a hug at this difficult time ?. Like everyone in the kitchen soop is not far from my thoughts. Trying to have a quiet Saturday as I've had far too much busy-ness going on this week. Mr
BA's chilli on the menu tonight- not my favourite but I can cope with it and he loves it. Enjoy the rest of Saturday dear kitcheners

Nannagarra Sat 13-Nov-21 15:02:12

soop ?

TillyTrotter Sat 13-Nov-21 14:48:55

soop ? . For you.
Fondest thoughts of you and Mrsoop I hope you are reunited with him at home today. You two belong by each other’s sides to face life’s ups and downs. ?

Calistemon Sat 13-Nov-21 14:35:46

Nannyfaraway lovely to see that little face enjoying her bike ride! ?

dragonfly46 Sat 13-Nov-21 14:14:24

So sorry to hear your update Marydoll.
I shall wait for soop to tell us about her buggerations.
I hope she has a good journey and is back home soon.

Charleygirl5 Sat 13-Nov-21 14:08:55

Urms unfortunately you were correct.

Kalu were you allowed to enter that private hospital? I am assuming soop was in a single room so what was the problem? You were not staying long. Sometimes compassion and leeway have to be given. You are both consenting adults and careful and soop would have appreciated it.

Jaxjacky Sat 13-Nov-21 13:57:30

I’ll await to hear what soop has to say on her very welcome return, when she’s ready. Wishing her a comfortable journey home and a big thank you to her kindly neighbour for transportation and staying nearby ?.

annsixty Sat 13-Nov-21 13:51:26

Like everyone I feel for soop if her hopes and expectations have been dashed by the surgeon and that she has gone through pain and discomfort to discover this.
However I can’t help feeling what a terrible indictment it would have been on the NHS if a surgeon could have done for her in the private sector what couldn’t be achieved in the public one.
I send soop my commiserations and I hope she is soon comfortable in her own home with her dearest husband.

kittylester Sat 13-Nov-21 13:44:38

Just popped back for a check on soop.

Thanks glasgow grans for looking out for her on our behalf. I'm with maw and am gutted.

I will add my Rocky Road to the cake selection - please help yourselves. If I were you, I wouldn't take too much as it quite sickly rich.

brook2704 Sat 13-Nov-21 13:32:31

Thank you marydoll and kalu for your updates
Poor soop my heart goes out to her

Jax thinking of you too ?

Doodle Sat 13-Nov-21 13:22:12
